Chapter Nineteen- "Pool Fun"

Summer was coming to an end, I was sitting outside under the night sky, looking over the pool.

Remember the pool I was talking about?

Yeah that one. Aatu told me that pool was for the kids. Aaparently, there's also a pool for the adults. It was a normal pool, and it was shaped like a full moon (AKA a circle). It had a image of a pack of wolves at the bottom. There was a fence line that ran through the boundary of the kid's pool and this pool. There was a fence surrounding both, the fence opened in the backs to a large play space/party center. This place, and I'm not kidding, is HUGE.

I was on one of those chairs you put outside of the pool in my bikini. I had sunglasses on, dispite the fact that there was no sunlight sincr it was already night.

I'm honestly considering whether or not to just fall asleep right here on the spot.

Just as I feel like closing my eyes, the pool lights turn on, but they change colors. I watch the pool and take off my sunglasses.

Someone is in the pool.

How did I not notice that?!

I walked over to the edge of the deep end side of the pool to get a closer look at the person. He was in his truncks, no shirt and was floating on his back with his eyes closed.

It was Aatu. I smiled, "Heyo" I said. Aatu opened his eyes, and looked at me. "Hi princess." He smiled at me. "What're you doing in the pool this late at night?" I question. Aatu swims over to me and grabs my hand. "Swimming." He answered, then pulled me imto the pool with a splash. Once my head broke the water I glared at him, "Oh you will pay Aatu!" I exclaimed and began to swim towards him. He was laughing his ass off.

"You think this is funny?!" I yell. "Of course it is." He smiles at me. I huff and go over to the shallow end and sit down on the steps. I glare at him, and splash him with water as he walks over to me.

As he walks, his waist is the only thing under the water.

I look away like I wasn't looking. I. Am. Not. A. Perv.

Aatu sits next to me and pulls me over to him. "Why're you out here at this time of night?" He asks. "Well. I've been out here since sunset actually. You just so happened to tug me into the water." I tell him. Aatu smiled and pulls me closer to him.

I splash Aatu with water and when he releases me from his grip to wipe his eyes I make a mad swim for it. I swim to the other side of the pool, take a deep breath, and stay under the water for as long as possible.

I can, actually, see clearly under the water. It's not all blurry and my eyes dont sting. Ever.

I have a feeling that Isa has something to do with it, but I don't question it. I can see Aatu's legs walking... well... swimming towards me after a few seconds.

I get up and swim past him smoothly. He doesnt seem to notice where I've gone.

I sneak behind him, and quietly jump out of the water and tackle him, going under the water.

Aatu's eyes widen and I laugh and let go after a bit. I swim back to the top of the water and take several deep breaths.

"I'm surprised at how long you can hold your breath." Aatu said. I shrug, "We had a pool at the Pride. Usually it was just my brother and I swimming around. The other kids looked at us like we were crazy. My brother and I made fun of them and called them 'Dry-Paws' seeing as we were both into Erin Hunter's series Warriors at the time... Still are." I say, and sit down on a cleft. Aatu sits next to me.

"You never told me you had a brother." He says. "He left several years ago... I haven't seen him since..." I mutter.

Aatu pulls me closer to him. "You'll find him again." He says. I smile weakly, "I hope so..." I mumble.

I hear the rustle of leaves then a splash as someone falls into the pool. I snap my head towards the person. A tree branch's leaves are rustling and I can see someone's head break the pool's surface.

I reconize the person as Vesta. Her red hair is slik to her head as she swims towards Aatu and I and sits down next to me. "Hello lovie dovies~" She says. I smirk and shake my head "You're crazy Vesta." I tell her. "I can second that!" Someone yells I blink and look at the person who's stepping from behind the tree.

It's Sofia.

It's been a while since I've seen her. Actually... since anyone has seen her.

She's so mysterious...

I smile at them. "So. Why are you barging in on Aatu and I?" I ask. Aatu wraps his arm around me. I roll my eyes at him and look at Vesta, waiting for her answer.

"Well. You see... I was actually trying to record this for SnapChat..." She said.

My face goes slak. "You did what?!"

"Whoa. Calm down! It's on Instagram instead." Vesta says. I roll my eyes, "Where's the difference?" I ask. "Don't blame me! You're the one who let me into the pack!" She exclaims. I look back at Sofia.

She's gone.

Just like that.

I looked at Vesta again. "Kay pup, can you hurry along now?" I ask. Vesta shakes her head "Nope." She says. I sigh, "Please?" I ask. She shakes her head stubbornly again. I shove her into the pool "You're it!" I say and begin to swim around. Vesta swims after me. I dive under the water and swim under her. Vesta looks down and turns around before swimming after me. As I swim I get flashbacks of when I raced my brother in the pool back at the Pride. He'd let me win usually, until I told him not to and he won. My mom used to call me her little mermaid, and him her little fishy.

I smiled at the memory and kept swimming away from Vesta then she tagged me. "You're it!" She exclaimed. I took a breath and dove under the water and swam towards Aatu. I popped up in front of him and booped his nose. "You're it." I say with a chuckle. I try to swim away from him but he quickly grabs my waist and pulls me over to him.

I try to get out of his grasp until I huffed, giving up. Aatu smiled and kisses my cheek. "You can't get awau from me princess." He says. I laugh, "Funny for you to think that." I tell him. He chuckles and lifts my chin with one of his hands to where I'm looking at him.

He smiles and looks into my eyes. "You look nice when your hair is wet." He said. I smirked, "Your hair is spikey." I tell him. He chuckles, and kisses me passionatly. Thank goddess for Vesta pr else things would've gotten heated... if you know what I mean *wink*.

"Ew!" Vesta exclaimed. I pulled away and laughed. Aatu blushed and glanced away. Vesta laughed, we all laughed.
