I woke in the clearing in the forest where I had fallen asleep. It was dry and sunny, finally a nice day. I smiled and crawled to my feet. The scythe was gone but my spirit wolves were still around me. I never understood magic. I sighed and made them all vanish before walking again. I wasn't too far from home so I took a nice jog. It was calming and I was able to think.
Once I got home, there was a celebration for defeating Alec, Free and the Witches. But soon, smiles faded when Gavin came in, carrying suitcases behind him. I looked at him fpr an explanation.
"Jack and I are leaving today..." he explained. My mouth dropped and he looked down. I closed my mouth and walked to him, giving him a hug.
"Be safe..." I warned. "Especially in times like this... You never know who can be just around the corner."
He smiled at me with a nod then picked up his cases. I watched them walk towards the cab before Gavin stopped to face me.
"Congrats on your success by the way. You earned it, " he said. I smiled at him.
"Thank you."
He nodded then got in the cab and they were gone. I felt tears brim my eyes but I held them back. Hopefully, no one else would be leaving any time soon.
Soon everyone went home after the celebration, lraving me in the house with my mother, father, Liz, Patty and Kid. But soon, mother left too. But not without giving me a hug.
"I'm so proud of you sweet heart..." she said. "You will be a fine Witch Weapon indeed... I can feel it..." I nodded and hugged her back. She stood and nodded to my father before leaving.
I went up to my room, tired and got ready for bed, wearing a simple nightgown. I yawned and climbed into bed. I was about to fall asleep when my window suddenly caved in. I jumped up quickly and saw the Kishin floating there. My eyes widened and he flew in, grabbing me. I realized I left my Soul Protect off. My eyes widened and I sceamed as he carried me away to somewhere I didnt know. But one thing I did know?
I was gonna die.
