Chapter 7: Truth be Told: Lena finds out her true past?

I was shocked. My mother was the witch, Arachnae!? It was all too much to take in. 

First Kniomi goes to hospital all, then I find out that the teacher that seemed nice was actually a murderer, then, my mother is a witch!? I couldn't take much more drama. I looked at her. 

"No... Its impossible! You must have the wrong girl! I'm just Lena! A Reaper!" I exclaimed. 

"It is true Lena. In fact, truth be told, your actually a witch too. And a Reaper. You are a mix of Weapon and Witch." she told me. 

I saw Kid looking at me from the seat above me. He shook his head disapprovingly. I mouthed 'is it true?' up to him. He nodded. My eyes widened in shock and I looked back at Arachnae. She too nodded. 

"Alec... get us out of here!" I yelled to him.

 "On it!" he said as I turned to a scythe in his hand, activating the beezlebub. He leaped on and flew away from the ferris wheel, stopping to wait for Kid and my father. 

They followed us and Alec flew home as fast as he could. When we landed I turned human, storming away from Kid and my father. 

"Lena, hold up!" my fathers cheerful voice said ad he gabbed me with his large hand. I struggled, I tossed and kicked and even screamed. I felt my fathers free hand come down on my head, then, darkness swallowed me.

*Hours later*

Did my father seriously just Reaper Chop me!? Ugh!! When I wake up I'm gonna kill him! And that is no joke! He promised he would never Reaper Chop me! Never ever ever!! 

I woke up, snapping my eyes open. I was blinded by a sudden brightness. After my eyes adapted I realised it was the sun light shining through my window, and it was morning. I was out all night!? Damn! 

I leaped up from my bed and ran down stairs, still in my clothes from the previous day. I was startled when I heard more than one voice coming from the kitchen. 

"Is she gonna be O.K.?" said a kind of high male voice. Evan no doubt. I peaked in through a gap in the door. All my friends were there including my father, Kid, Liz and Patty. Even James turned up. 

"She should be fine. Whatever it was that hit her head, it wasn't any of us." I heard my father say. So he didn't Reaper Chop me. Huh. Who'd have thought? That's when I got the feeling someone was behind me. I turned but no one was there except a mirror. I had a bandage on my head, completely stained in blood. 

"I better go change Lena's bandages." I heard Kid say before the scrape of a chair. I sprinted upstairs diving into bed before he could see me. 

I sat there with a book open in front of me, pretending to have just woken up. I saw Kid walk in and looked at him. His eyes widened at the fact that I was awake. 

"Are you O.K. Kid?" I said before he tackle hugged me, sending us flying off the bed. I laughed. He was almost sobbing. 

"I thought you were dead!" Kid exclaimed, which just made me laugh more. 

"Come on Kid, I'm a reaper! Its gonna take more than that to kill me!" I said with a beam. 'Oh great, now I sound like BlackStar!' I thought. I shrugged it off and sat back on the bed. I handed him the roll of bandages and let him work. 

There was an awkward silence. But what happened at the fair... I needed to know. I looked at Kid. He was focused on my head. I took his wrists. 

"Stop fusing about symmetry for once and listen to me... please..." I said, my voice begging. He nodded and crouched down in front of me. "Kid... is Arachnae really my mother?" I asked him, my voice serious yet broken, with tears threatening to fall. He looked down. 

"Yes... its true..." he said. I looked at him, my eyes urging him to tell me everything. 

He sighed and pulled a chair so he could sit across from me. "It was before father found out she was a witch... at that time, Arachnae always dressed like a human. In casual clothes. Father saw her in the carnival... she seemed lost. So he decided to help her. Soon it started to rain. So he took her here so they could stay warm and dry off... things happened and it was after that night that father found out she was a witch... he attacked her but he sensed a second wavelength. Your wavelength. He had gotten Arachnae pregnant with you. So, being a respectful future father he let Arachnae stay until you were born. At that time he was supposed to take you, to keep you safe. But Arachnae wouldn't have any of it. She ran with you in her arms. Father stopped her but Arachnae changed your soul to a witches soul. So he asked Medusa to cast Soul Protect on you. To keep you safe... up until now we raised you like a human... but now that Arachnae is on the loose, we need to train you as a witch. So you can use your magic to prevent any mistakes. You're our only hope Lena." he said, his voice stern. I nodded, tears spilling down my cheeks. He pulled me into an embrace and let me cry into him. I cried myself to sleep still in his arms. I had no choice now. 

I needed to learn magic to protect Death City.
