I woke to my phone buzzing. I mumbled and reached for my phone. It was a text from Kid.

'Family Day at 11am, meet at carnival near ferris wheel'. Ugh. I wasn't in the mood for a family day. I mean, my best friend was in hospital with a serious stab wound made my one of the teachers! She was dying too! She lost a lot of blood.

Evan came by and told me everything. I had broken into tears and I ran to my room. I haven't left it since. Alec brought me some dinner that still lay untouched on the table.

You know I'm sad when I don't eat. Or worried.

I sighed and got up from my bed, standing on the balcony., My bare feet shivered on the cold smooth marble. I looked at the moon again. I closed my eyes and breathed in the fresh air of the night.

I loved the night. It was beautiful especially with a clear sky and shining moon.

I sighed and walked back inside, turning on my lamp. I picked up a random book and started reading, eventually falling asleep with the book beside me.

*The next morning*

I woke up to the curtain opening and the laughing sun shining on my face. It was morning already? I looked at the clock on my wall. It was 9am.

I got up and started getting ready for the family day. I put on my American denim shorts, my light black shirt and my converse. I decided to curl my hair and pin it back.

I looked at my presents that Alec told me not to open until last night, which I never opened. I was too upset to open them. I decided to pull them open now. There was a white dress to my knees with an open back, black high heels, a black leather jacket, a hair pin that would go in a bun and a pair of black wrist gloves, made of velvet. I smiled.

I saw another note on the wall.

'Dinner tonight since we couldn't go last night.Love Alec xxx' it read. I smiled and put them away.

I came back and did my make up in about ten minutes. I looked at myself in the mirror. Symmetrical. Good. Cause if it wasn't Kid would kill me. Remember, symmetry freak. I looked back at the clock. It was already 10am.

I finally left my room and slid down the banisters as Alec started lifting up breakfast. Boiled eggs with toast! My fave!

I bounced off the banisters and walked into the kitchen. Alec looked a bit shocked that I was finally out of my room and I laughed, taking my phone from my pocket. I decided to text Kid.

'Hey Kid, can Alec come as well since Liz and Patty are most likely going? And Spirit too?' I sent to him. I waited for a reply. I soon got one back, saying yes.

I told Alec when I finished breakfast and he ran upstairs to get dressed. He came back down in jeans, converse and a red shirt. He left his hair messy as normal and nodded.

I grabbed my purse and activated my beezlebub, turning to a scythe in his hands as he flew to the carnival. I smiled in his hand and we soon landed next to the ferris wheel and I turned normal, deactivating the Beezlebub. I smiled as I saw Kid and my father come over. They both looked pleased to see me. I smiled and hugged them both.

"Hey sis!" Kid said with a beam.

"Hey Kid! Hey Papa!" I said with a big smile. I was pleased to see them. We decided to go on the ferris wheel. Kid got on with Liz, Patty and Papa while I got in a seat with Alec.

Just as we were about to move, a woman in a long black dress got in with us. The dress had a kind of spider look at the chest. But that wasn't what caught my attention. It was her eyes. She had the same spider eyes as me! The exact same! She realised I was staring and smiled.

"Hello my daughter." She said in a velvet voice. I stiffened.

"Daughter!?" I said a little too loud. She just smiled and nodded.

"Yes." Her velvet voice said. My mother... was the leader of Arachnophobia!?
