*Weeks Later*
After the incident, I haven't left my room. I was too embarrassed to show my face outside. By now, everyone knew about what happened. My mother being a witch, me being the cause of Asura, blah blah blah.
I was still injured but I didn't need bandages. It stung when I washed my face but I knew it was just cleaning it out. I let out a sigh and stood on my balcony. And now I need a partner. I can fight alone but I prefer to have a partner. It was easier that way.
I was still heartbroken because Alec betrayed me. I trusted him with my very life and he still threw it away. I could feel tears prickle my eyes and blinked them back, to no prevail and they slid down my cheeks as I cried. This is the third time this week that I've cried and it was only Monday!
I managed to calm myself down and wiped my tears away. Hearing a knock on my door, I went back into my room and opened the door seeing Gavin standing there.
"Hey Lena," he said in a sympathetic voice. "Are you okay? You haven't left your room in three weeks. Still recovering?"
I looked down with a nod. I know he meant my eye and I was still recovering from that too. I let him in and sat back down on my bed. He sat beside me.
"Mind if I take a look to see how bad it is?" he questioned. I turned to face him and moved my fringe away from my eye so he could look. He gently put his finger tips on it but it still stung and I winced in pain, making him quickly withdraw his hand. "Sorry... Should have asked first. I didn't mean to-"
I quickly cut him off. "Its fine. Its just still a bit sore... I cant leave my room... Death City is in ruins because of me! I started the Reign of Madness and I cant do anything about it! I shamed the Reaper name and what makes it worse, Alec-" It was his turn to cut me off.
"Forget about him Lena! Hes not worth the pain your going through!" his voice was stern yet still sympathetic. I looked down. I started thinking about his injury he received because of me... I sighed and stood. "Where are you going?" Gavin questioned.
"Out for a walk" was my reply as I pulled on my jacket and left the mansion. He didn't follow me and instead left me alone. I saw people giving me cold eyes and took a sneak peak at their thoughts. 'Here she comes', 'lets hope she's not really Asura's kid instead of Lord Deaths', 'she's actually out of her room? What has she been hiding'.
I could hear all these thoughts and a lot more. I broke off into a jog trying to shake off the thoughts of those people, but I couldn't. I soon broke off into a run, now not caring where I ran. I just needed to run.
It felt like I was running for hours because my legs and feet were burning and I didn't know where I was now. I slowed down to a jog then to a full stop. Where I was, I had no clue. But it was dark now and if I tried to get home I would surely get lost.
My eyes had adjusted to the dark so I could see a bit better and saw a small cottage, with a light shining through the window. Someone was living there. I sprinted over and knocked on the door, now breathless and sweating. I stood there waiting before I knocked again. But when the door opened, I saw blonde, long hair, blue eyes and a DOPE beanie with a black jacket and blue jeans.
It was Alec.
