I awoke up in a large room under dark red blankets. At first, I thought it was my room because my bed has a dark red sheet too. I sat up and saw the walls were black with purple spiderwebs on the walls. My soul protect was still off, so I turned it on. I looked around then sensed a presence in the right corner. I looked over and saw a figure with a masked face. I already knew who it was though. It was the Kishin.

I jumped up and backed away into the far corner as Asura stepped out. His mask was open and I could see the expression on his face. It was strange. Madness mixed with joy but a bit of sadness as if I had offended him. He sat on the bed where I had once been. We both remained silent for a while. It was a relaxing silence but I just wouldn't calm down. My heart was racing, hands trembling and my head was blank. I couldn't think of what to say. Eventually, he spoke.

"Your afraid of me... aren't you?" He questioned. I didn't answer then he looked at me. Knowing he wanted an answer, I nodded. He looked down and away from me. "Everyone is..."

I decided to speak. "W-Well, you did eat your own weapon and th-then human souls... How do we kn-know you you wont eat m-more...?"

"I still eat them. But only those of my old enemies. Your soul looks tasty. And being the daughter of Death, yours will be extra tasty!"

He stood and had that insane look on his face. I was scared. I backed up even more but ended up in the corner, trapped. He stopped in front of me and crouched over me. He stared into my soul, reading it. He then froze and backed up.

"What? Too scared to eat...?" I questioned.

"No..." he replied. "Your Arachnae's daughter... and she's the one looking after me... if I ate your soul, she would kill me. I suppose I can wait until she's dead."

He sat back down on the bed in silence. I stayed in the corner and his mask split down the middle, opening up. I looked up and saw his real face. To say he was good looking is an understatement. He was actually very hot in my opinion. I felt the heat rise in my cheeks and looked down, hoping he doesn't notice. I felt his gaze on me. I looked at him and I saw he had moved a bit.

"Come out of the corner," he demanded, "and sit next to me. The bed is more comfortable than the corner."

Not wanting to upset him, I stood and sat on the bed at a distance. His arm draped around my shoulders as he moved closer to me. I stayed stiff in place. We stayed in that position for a while. Soon, I was feeling tired and didn't even notice that my head was on his shoulder. He seemed to hold me closer but I didn't mind. He must have thought I was asleep cause he started talking to himself.

"Damn... she's so beautiful in her sleep... She has her mothers eyes... and her fathers black hair... Medusa's pale, smooth skin..." he sighed. "She's unlocked my dorment heart... but she'll never see me as anything other than the monster I am..."

He went silent and gently laid me down. He lay next to me and I heard him softly sobbing. I turned and saw he was facing me but his hands covered his face. I moved closer to him, my head against his chest and his hands instantly left his face. He was stiff.

'Uh oh... I think I made him mad...' I thought to myself. As I started to move back to where I was, his arms held me closer. I smiled slightly and laid my head on his chest again. I was shocked but I knew one thing. A monster, a killer...

The Kishin Asura was in love with me...
