I dropped to my knees beside Moe, who was clutching her face. The softball rolled away, but a smear of blood was left on the ball. I felt rage boil inside of me. Little Moe was laying on the ground, crying softly and bleeding because of Caine's rage.

My team mates surrounded us in a circle. Snake came over and put a hand on Moe's shoulder. She wimpered.

"Moe, turn over and let me see your face." Snake said gently. Moe removed her bloody hands from her face and blood was pouring out of her delicate nose. It wasn't broken, but it was bashed up real good.

"Let's go to the nurse, sweetie." Snake said, helping her up. She wobbled a bit but Snake held her arm. "He did it on purpose, Snake!" I yelled pointing to Caine. A bunch of people agreed and Atticus stepped up beside me. "I'm sure Caine didn't mean to." Snake said. He looked very tough on the outside but he actually was very nice. "He did. He wouldn't have hit the ball so hard into the middle of the court." Atticus said camly, but at the same time it held a hint of anger.

"Caine, come here." Snake said, his voice stern. Caine shoved his hands in the pockets of his shorts and waltzed over. "Did you purposely hit Moe?" Caine was almost eye level with Snake. His Red eyes stared into Snake's green ones.

"I wasn't aiming for Moe." He said smoothly. Moe had gone to the nurse with another girl and I stood there with my arms crossed. I already knew he wanted to hurt me so I wasn't surprised. "Who were you aiming at?" Snakes voice held venom. He was nice when you were nice. But if you crossed that line, he wasn't going to put up with it.

I was waiting for Caine to say my name but instead he just stared daggers at me. Instead of backing down, I glared at him with the same weight. Snake turned around to see who he was looking at. "Why were you aiming at Arianna?" He turned back to Caine.

"She doesn't belong here." He said simply. There were mumbles of agreement. "Do you even know who her guardian is? Daniel Lockwood." Caine looked taken aback. "Yeah I thought you'd react like that. Daniel wouldn't take a human into our world, he knows better."

"Why the hell would Daniel Lockwood take her in anyways? I mean come on. She may be part something like some filthy half blood but she looks so human."

"Look around Caine. A lot of us look human. Watch what you say, people have feelings." Snake wasn't about to let Caine off easy, I hope. What he was saying was really insulting. "At least I know everyone here. She could be a terrorist or a mur-" Caine was cut short by Atticus who was seething. "Oh grow up Caine! Just because you don't like humans, doesn't mean Arianna is a terrorist." My heart went out to him because he defended me. He really is my best friend.

"Oh, does someone have a little crush?" Caine teased. He walked closer to Atticus, but he was shorter. "Are you jealous Caine?" Atticus was staring Caine down. There was a circle around them and Snake was just watching now, along with the rest of us.

"Jealous of that thing?" He looked at me with disgust. I felt my heart ache a bit. It hurt how much he really hated me. "She's more of a person then you could ever be." There was a collective murmur. There was people either supporting Caine or Atticus. The rest looked undecided.

"Big talk for a little wolf." Caine sneered. "You act all tough for your little groupies. But at the end of the day your just a little, afraid boy." Caine was trying to dig at Atticus but Atticus threw his head back and laughed. Caine's face twisted in confusion. A few people laughed even though they probably didn't understand why he was laughing.

"Last time I checked I was bigger than you." I smiled some at that. Caine looked over at me but my smile didn't drop. "Why the hell are you smiling?" He walked closer to me and I felt very small. Everything got more tense since nobody thought it was a fair fight.
