Ice. The girl had shot ice out of her palms. And it was coming towards me. In a split second, I had commanded my weak legs to move. As soon as I had, the ice daggers shot right past me, grazing my sweater, and impaled the wall. It all happened in mere seconds but to me, time had slowed.

As soon as I had gathered myself together, she had shot out another pointed ice dagger. I had moved again, her technique was flawed. She had the power and the weaponry but her technique lacked. She shot ice daggers with time lapse. It was like she was waiting for me to recover each time she shot...Wait she's stalling me for time! I need to make a move and stop playing her game. Since when did I think strategically like this?

Another dagger shot past me. I didn't even have to move. Time was passing so quickly yet for me it was slowed. Another impulsive move had me running towards her, gun in hand. I had nearly forgotten about it. Era stopped shooting the ice daggers from her palms. She stood there watching me. Then, in a blink of an eye ice started covering the floor, starting at her feet. A thick layer of ice had formed over the surface of the floor, shining like a mirror. Then, it was under me. My feet were no longer stable. Legs went one way, body went the other.

I flew out and onto the ground. My body slid over the floor. I rolled over, to face her as she came towards me. She smiled as if she had defeated me. Her naiveness brought a smile to my face as well. But what I was about to do, had to work. Or else I was as good as dead. I focused as best as I could. My head was already pounding from the tension. Then it felt as if the tension was breaking. Like when you stretch out an elastic band and it finally just snaps.

One moment Era was on the ground, then she hit into her partner in crime and they both went flying into tables. For mere moments my body was strong, then it was weak. I couldn't move at all. It was all the energy I had was used into my telekinesis. Zaine and Daniel ran towards the culprits. As soon as Daniel had touched the familiar man, he vanished. Just like that. One minute he was laying on a broken table, the next minute he's gone. Daniel grabbed onto the girl and hauled her to her feet. She nearly fell again but Daniel held onto her.

Era's hood had fallen. Underneath that hood was shocking white hair. She had pale blue eyes, her skin shimmered. I was just laying on the floor, in a melting puddle of ice, staring at this beautiful girl. Why did she live her life like this?

Alex had picked me up and threw me over his shoulder. Not that I cared, since I was dead tired. But it gave me a chance to look at the surroundings. Tables turned and broken, ice daggers in the walls, sheets of ice everywhere, innocent people hiding in the corner and cop cars appearing outside.

"Your an idiot Arianna." Alex sighed. He carried me over to Daniel and the rest of the troop. "At least the pizza was good." I mumbled to anyone who was listening. Daniel gave me a strange look. "So you just fought a young snow maiden, rare breed of Mythicals who control ice, and you care about the pizza?" Daniel sounded mad at me. I mean, I thought I was doing something good. I thought I was helping. "Are you mad at me?" I asked sheepishly from Alex's shoulder. "You risked your life yet again. Yes I'm upset with you." Daniel ran a hand through his hair. "I'm fine though! I also stopped these guys from hurting anyone right? I'm just a little tired. Thats all.'' No big deal right? Things could have gone worse. But its so cool that Era is an ice maiden and that she has the ability to control ice. I thought it was cool even if she was trying to maim me.

"You may have stopped them from robbery or murder but that guy got away. You acted on impulse and you drained yourself. I've said this a billion times, but I don't want you hurt." As soon as Daniel had finished talking, the cops stormed in. Leading the group of cops was Officer Mcgill. Who would have guessed. "Again Arianna?" was all that he said. But he didn't sound upset.
