I was laying down on my bed. I kept thinking back to everyone I left behind at the orphanage and everything that had happened. I even thought about how a baby was stolen by an eagle or something. That was really odd. I just couldn't picture a bird flying into an open window, through the halls and into the nursery.

It was Monday morning and I just awoke to another nightmare. The same one as normal. The weekend was so much fun. Me and Daniel hung out and talked. Just enjoying each others company. He warned me that high school was much different then anything I've ever done. He got me my very own bag to carry all my things in. He said he would drive me to school then he would take me to the office. Everything he said confused me, since I knew nothing about a real school. He had also mentioned that there was another person living here, but I have yet to see who it is.

Before I did anything, I fed my adorable fishies, like I did everyday. I put my hair up in a high pony tail. I had on a teal colored shirt that was missing one sleeve. I put on a pair of pale jeans and my slip-on shoes. I was now ready for school. I went down the stairs and ate breakfast with Daniel. Even I could tell I was visibly nervous. He continued to study me until I asked him what was up.

"You look so nervous. I feel bad for you. High school is tough and this high school will be much tougher. " He was always talking about how better this town was, how different it was, how tougher high school would be here. I was getting irritated.

"You're always talking about how better or how much different things are here. Well I'm confused. What do you mean when you say every thing will change here?" I needed answers and quick. I wasn't a patient person.

"I'm not going to lie to you anymore. I'm just going to tell you." Lied? He lied to me? I was so confused. "I'm so confused, please just explain. No games, no stalling." My eyes burned into his. I held onto my head and rested my arms on the breakfast table. I felt hurt that he would lie to me.

He took in a deep breath. ''Arianna our town has what you would call 'Mythical Creatures'. You know, Vampires, Griffins, Witches, and Werewolfs to name a couple. I'm not joking. These creatures live among us happily here. You often can't tell if someone is mythical or not. This entire town is a safe-zone for the mythical creatures. Infact, there are no humans here. Mythicals can live safely here.'' I didn't laugh. I just stared at him.

''You do realize that I have no idea what your talking about, right? I'm sure that mythical has to do with stories. But everything else...Vampires? What are those?.'' I was missing out on a lot of knowledge. I had no idea what all of that was. I didn't think that I read the story that goes with that.

''Oh yes, I forgot. Well Mythical is like... A being or creature that humans believe do not exist. Something magical or something that defies the rules we put on logic. Make sense?'' He was struggling to explain as if he were explaining to a toddler what a car was. I nodded my head to confirm that I sort of understood.

''Good. Now, a vampire is a creature that drinks blood. Vampires look just like humans. I am a vampire. Griffins are giant bird-like creatures that eat children. You saw one at the orphanage. A werewolf is a creature that looks just like a human but can transform into a wolf with immense power. You have seen them in your past. That is as basic as I can get.'' Everything he said was really funny. As if I would believe any of that crap. I laughed and shook my head. All of this was crazy.

''Fine. Don't believe me. Find out the hard way at school. It's time to go anyways.'' He stood up and stuck out his hand to help me up. I grabbed it and stood up as well.

"Here, I might as well give you this. You might need it." Daniel stuck a hand into his jacket and pulled out a phone. "My number is already in there." I took it and pushed it into my pocket, without saying a word.
