"...Oh, no...," Blair said, noticing countless shadows creeping toward the building.

"Oh, my...!" Linda said, hand to her mouth.

"...You must be kidding," Claude said, shocked by the number of zombies drawing near.

"Damn...! That round I fired earlier must have lured them here...!" Blair said.

"Why were you firing rounds!?" David asked.

"To kill the zombie in the meeting room," Claude said.

"Zombie!? You mean... they were in here, too!?" David asked.

"Yeah. Don't worry, though. We got all the ones inside. At least... I think so, anyway," Claude replied with a weak smile.

"There's so many out there! What do we do!?" Misty asked worriedly.

"Don't worry, Misty. We'll be alright," Claude replied, sounding less than convinced as ever more zombies crept toward the station. Blair cringed.

"...There's too many! We can't possibly take them all!" she said. David then looked down, picking up a pistol lying on the floor near a dead policeman.

"You know how to use that thing?" Claude asked.

"Yeah. We kept one around the house in case of intruders," David said, checking the gun for ammo before pointing it out the window.

As the zombies approached, Blair and David opened fire, lighting up the darkness with loud bursts of gunfire, killing zombies one after another as they slowly marched forward. As the two fired, Misty covered her ears, leaning against Claude as he put a hand on her shoulder.

As Linda looked on in fright, a zombie suddenly broke through a nearby wall, Linda screaming as it tore open her throat from behind.

"Linda!" David yelled, turning to her before killing the zombie behind her.

As Linda and the zombie fell to the floor, David ran over, worriedly kneeling down as his wife bled out on the ground.

"Linda! Linda!" he exclaimed. As Linda's movements came to a stop, David cringed, yelling her name as he desperately shook her shoulders. It was too late, however.

Linda was dead.

"Uhh... David! I'm sorry about your wife, but I could really use some help over here!" Blair yelled, killing several zombies as more approached.

David then paused, cringing with rage as he quickly returned to the window, raising his gun before firing with a vengeance, killing ever more zombies as they moaned and groaned. After several tense moments of firing, their numbers finally thinned as the last of the zombies was dispatched.

As the room fell silent, David moved to Linda, sadly looking down at her lifeless body. He then knelt down, shaking his head as he brushed her face with his hand.

"Linda... darling...," he said somberly.

As the room watched in sorrow, Linda's eyes shot open, body lunging forward as she bit David's neck. He yelled, the others springing into action as blood shot from his jugular vein.

"David!" Blair yelled, raising her pistol before taking aim, firing a single shot into Linda's skull.

As Linda dropped to the ground, David fell, bleeding on the floor as the others rushed to his aid. They did their best to help him, but try as they might, David continued to bleed out, his movements coming to a stop moments later. As the three stared at David's corpse, Claude frowned, covering Misty's eyes as Blair stood motionless.

Just then, a pair of headlights shined through the windows. As a second car pulled into the parking lot, the three looked over, approaching the entrance as a slender man left a black sedan.

"...You guys okay? I'm Andrew," he said, noticing the many bodies strewn around. The others looked on in silence, still shaken by all that had recently went down. As a balmy evening breeze blew by, Claude stepped forward.

"Hey Andrew. Yeah, we're okay. Glad you could make it," he replied.

Suddenly, the sounds of moans echoed through the night as the four looked around, noticing a second wave of zombies fast approaching.

"I can't believe this! Is there no end to these things!?" Blair asked worriedly.

"We should get out of here. This place isn't safe anymore," Claude replied.

"Where do we go?" Andrew asked.

"I don't know, but anywhere's better than here. Come on," Claude said, the group heading toward Blair's squad car as Andrew suddenly stopped.

"Wait. Should I take my car?" he asked.

"No. We need to stick close. Now get in! Quick!" Blair said, the four getting inside as Blair started the engine, leaving the parking lot before speeding off into the darkness.

As the group made their escape, David's body lay motionless in the dark police station, slowly starting to twitch as it sprung to life, clumsily rising to its feet. It wandered about the lobby, lazily looking around before spotting Linda's corpse. It paused, looking down before giving a slow moan. It then lashed out, knocking things off tables as it kicked debris strewn about. It then turned around, wandering outside before creeping off into the night.

Back on the streets, Blair drove her squad car as the four looked out at the city, noticing chaos in all directions. Zombies wandered the streets, fires burned every which way as thick smoke coated the skies. Andrew looked on from the backseat, slowly shaking his head.

"Man... this is crazy," the twenty-something said.

"You got that right. The whole city's gone mad," Claude replied.

"I hope my sister's okay," Andrew said, taking out his phone.

"Your sister?" Blair asked.

"Yeah. My little sister Lucy. I've been trying to reach her for ages, but keep getting a busy signal," Andrew said, holding his phone to his ear.

Suddenly, he sat up.

"What is it?" Claude asked.

"...It... it's ringing!" Andrew replied. Just then, a girl answered the phone.

"...Hello?" she asked warily.

"Sis! Sis, it's Andy! Are you okay!?" Andrew asked with elation.

"Andy! You're alive!"

"Are you alright!? Where are you!?"

"I—I don't know! I was just over at Kim's house when everything suddenly went crazy. We tried to escape, but those weirdos got Kim and ripped her to pieces! I'm hiding behind some... convenience store, I think."

"Where? Do you know what street you're on?" Andrew asked. Lucy paused, looking around as she spotted a sign off in the distance.

"...It's... 29th Street," she replied.

"29th Street... I know the way there. Hang on, sis! We're on our way!" Andrew said, lowering the phone before looking to Blair. "My sister's behind the convenience store on 29th Street! Please! We have to go get her!" he said.
