Blair and Amanda's vehicle raced through the gates of the compound, plowing over several zombies before reaching the main road. As they drove their way south, Blair eyed the rear view mirror, heart pounding as she gave a sigh of relief.

"Looks like we made it out of there alive," the policewoman said.

"Thank goodness," Amanda replied. Suddenly, Blair looked to Amanda from the driver seat.

"...Are you okay?" she asked with concern.

"I am. In fact, I've never felt better. It's like... I've lived my whole life for this moment. That transformation was like my raison d'etre or something," Amanda replied, eyeing her own hand. "I can hardly explain it, but... I feel a complete sense of wholeness now."

"I see. Well you've certainly gained incredible powers. I wonder if you killed that creepy bastard Flood, though," Blair said.

"Probably. Good riddance, I say," Amanda replied.

"Totally," Blair said.

The two drove several minutes, soon reaching the overturned truck blocking the road. It was a large semi truck obstructing the main way out of town. Upon reaching it, Blair stopped, bashfully looking around due to her nakedness. She and Amanda left the car, walking over and looking at the large vehicle blocking the path.

"This thing was blocking the way last time I was here. This was also where I met that weirdo Dr. Flood," Blair said.

Amanda inspected the vehicle, soon stepping back and raising her wings. As Blair stepped back, Amanda brought her wings down, creating a massive blast of wind at the truck. It slowly moved, soon tumbling away and into a ditch.

"That's better," Amanda said. Blair could only watch in amazement.

"...Wow. That thing must weigh tons, yet you blew it away like it were nothing!" she said.

"I know. I'm astounded by my powers, myself," Amanda replied.

"What's it like having wings? Can you easily control them?" Blair asked.

"Yes. I don't know why, but it feels like they've been a part of me my whole life," Amanda explained.

"Incredible...," Blair said. "Well now that the road's clear, we can continue on." The two returned to the car, resuming their drive soon after.

"Where are we going, anyway?" Amanda asked.

"Down south. There's a boy I must return to down there...," Blair said, blushing as she thought of Claude. "Unless you have family or something you'd like to check in on?"

"I do, but my family's way back in California, and I doubt you want to drive such a long distance," Amanda said.

"Hmm. That is a very long drive. Maybe we can check on them at some point. For now, though, we're heading back down to Florida. Keep an eye out for a clothing store or something along the way, too. I'm tired of being naked," Blair replied, shyly blushing.

"Very well," Amanda replied, the two continuing their journey as thunder quietly echoed off in the distance.

Back down south, Abby flew high above the forest, looking around for a place she and the others could possibly stay. Her wasp-like wings were vastly different than Amanda's, flapping at a speed undetectable by the human eye. As Abby searched around, she suddenly spotted a sizable town off on the horizon.

"...He, he. Jackpot!" the girl said naughtily. She returned to ground level, landing as Claude and the others stood outside the camper vans.

"Find anything?" Claude asked.

"Sure did! There's a large town northeast of here. It's got a big water tower and everything!" Abby replied.

"That's Berkfield. The town I'm from," Reuben said.

"That's right. Berkfield isn't too far from my hometown of Calbury. I used to drive there on weekends," Elsa said.

"You said it was infested with zombies, though, right Reuben?" Claude asked.

"Yes," the boy replied. "They were wandering around the streets in every direction."

"Who cares?" Abby replied. "What place isn't at this point? I saw lots of buildings and houses still intact. We might be able to stay in one of them for awhile."

"I agree. It might be dangerous, but with you two around, I'm sure we can handle it," Claude said. "Lead the way, Abby."

"But of course! I am the leader of this ragtag little group, after all! Follow me!" Abby said chipperly, taking off before escorting the others toward Berkfield.

The group traveled through the woods, Claude, Elsa, and Reuben walking as Abby smiled and hovered twenty feet above ground. The four passed clearings and thickets, dispatching the occasional zombie along the way. As the group neared a large tree, Claude suddenly paused, going pale as he spotted something off in the distance.

"...Claude?" Elsa asked, looking to him along with the others. Claude froze in place, slowly approaching the large tree moments later. As the others followed him, the boy bent down, picking up a small, white flip flop.

"...Misty!" Claude said, eyes wide as he looked over the small, dirty shoe.

"Misty?!" Abby said, suddenly landing before snatching the flip flop away from Claude, looking it over.

"That shoe... it was one of Misty's flip flops...!" Claude said.

"Misty... she was a girl you were traveling with but lost track of, right?" Elsa asked.

"Yeah. Zoe said she found her other flip flop near her old tent several miles back," Claude replied. "Misty..."

"Pah! There's no way that little brat's still alive!" Abby said, tossing the shoe to the ground. Claude stepped forward, slowly picking it back up.

"...No. This shoe of hers is miles away from where Zoe found her other one. The fact she was able to make it this far shows how crafty she is," Claude replied firmly. "...She's alive out there somewhere. I'm sure of it!"
