haha okay so I got into an argument with somebody (on ifunny of course that app is crazy) about respecting prostitutes.
The person I was arguing with was basically saying you shouldn't feel bad for prostitutes who get disrespected while doing their job (aka being too rough, or not listening to them, shit like that). But the reason why you shouldn't feel bad is because their criminals.
I said how I didn't really believe they were criminals because I didn't believe prostitution should be a crime.
also, the person ignored the fact that the "prostitute" may not be doing it voluntarily and that she could be being traffiked.
another argument brought up was that "selling your body = no self respect = no respect from others" BROOOOOOOOO NOOOOO SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!! you can be a sex worker and have self respect. that's a personal thing and not really for other people to decide besides yourself.
Either way, criminals are still people. If they haven't disrespected you, don't disrespect them. Especially nonviolent criminals!!! Drug dealers (nonviolent) and prostitutes are still people lol.
