Incubus' POV
Again, I've never done what I just did in my entire existence. I stood there, frozen with surprise etched into my features. The man finally showed some emotion: he smirked.
I blinked and the man had straightened to his full height within that tiny moment. He towered over me and I had to actually crane my neck to look up into his eyes. He winked.
"Like my new bod?" He asked. I cracked the astonished shell I was in, and slowly smiled, the edges of my mouth quirking up in the mischievous smile I always sported. The man rolled his eyes in knowingness. The humans behind him were exchanging glances - even though their hoods covered their faces.
"Yeah..." I smirked back. "Looks good. How long did it take to get those," I ask, nodding my head at the biceps that practically bulged out of the man's shirt. I was glad that I wasn't stupid. Like the dumb humans behind him.
"So this is one of your tricks, eh?" I ask, looking the man up and down with a hand thoughtfully on my chin. "What happens if I -"
I didn't continue. Instead, I proceeded to walk right up to the bald guy, put my hands on his shoulders like we were reuniting after many years - and then grabbed his neck. I snapped his thick, veiny neck, and watched with dull amusement and pleasure as he fell like a sack of coal, to the floor.
"Not so mighty after all, are you...?" I mutter under my breath as I stared at his body, his head at a gruesome angle.
"Well...that wasn't nice." Starlight mumbled at me. I look up from the man's body, at his surprised, scared comrades, and smiled pleasantly. As I look over my shoulder at Starlight, I can see that he is rubbing his neck and rolling his head as if someone had snapped his neck.
"Cool trick." I say, genuinely impressed. It was much cooler than my dumb weather-control.
"Thanks. But I can only do it on weak-minded people. And surprisingly, not a lot of humans are weak-minded nowadays." Never mind. Clearly, my controlling the weather was a lot cooler. At least I didn't have circumstances to see through to...perform.
"Let's get started." I say, turning my red gaze to the stunned humans. "It's about time we finally...exterminate these pests." I hear Starlights hum of agreement. I grin as the humans in front of me begin to cower back. Not so defiant anymore, eh?
I don't speak as I get into the mood. Into the mood for killing. The closest person to me - a tiny woman - staggers backward as I walk forward into the crowd which seemed to be much bigger than I previously thought. They split apart for me like the sea did for Moses. I cringe at the thought and continue to walk into the throng of astonished, silent people.
Stopping in what I assumed was the centre, I look around me. There were more candles here and I could see just enough around me to tell me that this 'basement' was as big as this crowd. Who could they possibly be worshipping? Satan? Nah, even the crazy demonic-like humans didn't like him that much.
Breathing out, I close my eyes. I was totally in the mood now. It engulfed me. I was unconscious of my movements but I could hear surprised gasps from people, telling me that I was moving. Just how, I didn't know. Suddenly, a wind formed from nowhere, swirling around my ankles with ferocity. It tugged at my feet, almost making me loose balance. It grew taller and taller, into a pillar of air around me. I'm sure the humans were startled and started scream and run, but I couldn't hear them over the loud whooshing the wind created. When I finally opened my eyes, after closing them tightly in concentration, I could see that...no one had moved. The humans were stuck frozen. With fear...I hope. I could see Starlight from the corner of my eye, leaning away from my pillar of wind.
