I Can't Do It.

Justin POV: 

I woke up to my alarm blaring in my ears. I rubbed my eyes before attempting to get up. But something was holding me down. I look down at Selena, snuggled up against me. I shook her to wake her up. "Sel," I whispered. "Sel. Wake up." She moved a little but still didn't wake up. I shook her a little harder. She still didn't wake up. Then, I screamed in her ear. 

"SELENA, WAKE UP!" She fell off the bed then groaned in pain. I jumped out of bed to help her up. "Did that hurt?" I asked. She shot me a glare. "No! It felt amazing because falling on the floor is like a massage!" I chuckled at her sarcasm. "What time is it anyway?" She continued. I looked at my clock. "6:45 am" She rolled her eyes. "Why did you wake me up so early?" 

"We have school today." She looked at me in shock. "I totally forgot. I call the shower first." She ran into the bathroom and closed the door behind her. I went to get her some clothes. When I came back she was getting out. "Thanks, I forgot." She smiled as she took the clothes out my hand. 

"No problem." She smiled and went back into the bathroom to get dressed. I sat on my bed and waited. When she was out, I got in. I really hope this day goes by fast. I don't want to go but my mom is not going to let me stay home and do nothing all day. I have to talk to Sel about this. But what if she doesn't understand and thinks I still like Gabby. 

I got out and put a towel around my waist. I walked out the bathroom and straight to my closet. I picked out an outfit then went to change. I walked back out. Selena wasn't in my room so I walked downstairs to the kitchen to see if she was there. All I saw was my mom cooking breakfast. "Hey, mom. Where did Selena go?" I asked as I entered the kitchen. 

"Hi honey. She went to go get her school things. she said she'll meet you at school." I nodded and sat down. "Can I have some advice?" I asked hesitantly. I really didn't want to talk bout this with her but I have to. She looked at me. "About what?" I took a deep breath. "About everything that has happened over this weekend. I don't want to go to school with Selena and Gabby. I'm not ready. I'm still kind of upset about my breakup but at the same time I'm happy with Sel. I'm just confused." 

I looked down. I just have a feeling that she's going to say something I don't want to hear. She walked over and sat a plate in front of me, then sat down across from me. She looked at me for moment. I guess she was trying to find some words to say. "Do you still like Gabby?" I do a little but I have liked Sel way before I even like or knew Gabby. I just shrugged my shoulders. I don't even know how to respond to her question. Should I say yes, no, maybe? I looked up at her. 

She seemed to be in thought so I just waited. "Is that a yes or a no?" "IT's a maybe. I don't know how to feel." She nodded her head. "Well, I'm not letting you stay home from school just because you have mixed feelings. But I will tell you just to ignore the comments or anything people has to say because the opinion that matters is Selena's, right?" I nodded my head. 

"Thanks. You're right." She walked over and kissed the top of my head. "Finish your food and get going, ok?" I smiled up at her and watched as she walked out the kitchen. I finished my food, gathered all my things, and left. When I got in my car, I just sat there for a minute. I'm still trying to brace myself for school. I turned it on and drove to school. 

When  I got there it was only 8:20 am. I was kind of hoping I came late or 5 minutes til bell. As soon as I got out my car, all eyes were on me. As I walked by people, I heard little whispers and giggles. "Look, he actually had the nerve to show up." Some random girl said as she walked pass me. I sped up my pace, trying to escape all of the whispers and giggles. 

There weren't that many people inside as there were outside. I walked to my locker to gather my things for first period. "Well look who actually showed up." I turned around quickly to see River with a smirk on his face. I ignored his comment an continued what I was doing. "Don't ignore me when I'm talking to you." He grabbed my shoulder, turning me around.
