"Emmilyn stay still, the more you move the more it hurts. You know that for a fact, you've been injected your whole life." The Pack Doctor, Jeff, grumbled.
I could tell he was annoyed with my constant wiggling. I just didn't feel comfortable with the thoughts of the injections anymore. The whole idea just didn't sit right on my mind.
"Are you positive the injections are helping?" I sighed, running my hands through my long, strawberry blonde hair. "I mean seriously, I'm seventeen years old, almost eighteen, and I haven't met my wolf. Most meet theirs in the ages of fifteen to sixteen."
Jeff growled lowly, pushing me down another time. He was seriously aggravated. "For Goddess sake Emmilyn, stay still!"
I pinched the bridge of my nose and sighed, laying back agains the chair. I'm just getting annoyed with not having a wolf, maybe I need to just go join the humans like some of the pack have already said.
"Emmilyn, without these shots you wouldn't even have a chance of finding your wolf. Now cut the nonsense and hold still."
I took a deep breath and watched him place the needle on my arm. Grimacing as the needle broke my skin and the fluid inside began to shoot down into my body.

The rest of the day I felt very depressed. Even eating didn't appeal to me, and that said a lot.
"Emmilyn, I made you some tacos.. Please come eat." My mother whined softly, holding a small plate of delicious food in her hand.
But even Taco Tuesday wasn't going to cut it for me.
I just couldn't wrap my mind around any of this. Things have been very strange lately, and I think it has something to do with the Alpha. But why would he purposely hurt his pack? That's not something a good Alpha would do.
I sighed and looked around the small living room. "If I was Alpha, I wouldn't make the Omegas live in little shacks just because they were an Omega." I said first, my voice in a low monotone. "He treats us like shit, but yet we allow him to get away with it?"
"That's our Alpha you are speaking bad about, and I won't have it, Emmilyn!" Mother growled a low dangerous tone.
"You're brainwashed by him. You can't see that everything is screwed up in this pack system, it's so freaking biased!" I growl back, well it's an attempt at growling.
"You bit-" she begins, her wolf offended by how I was disrespecting her Alpha.
"Mom? Why are you yelling at Emmilyn?" Braden asked, grabbing the plate of tacos, my plate of tacos, away from her and popping one into his mouth.
Her eyes flash between black and then to her normal color, growling lowly at Braden. She knew for a fact he was always on my side, and always would be. "No reason." She grumbled and walked down the hall towards her bedroom. I didn't take to much offense to her yelling, her wolf has always been easily swayed.
"Want to watch a movie, Em?" He smirks, raising an eyebrow goofily. "You also owe me a thank you." He grinned and motioned towards the way mom had stalked off.
"Thank you, my brat in shining fur." I teased, reaching forward to screw his hair up, as he batted my hands away.
"Movie or no?" He asked, looking towards our shelf of movies.
"Fine you win, but we're going to my room; and I'm picking the movie." I stuck my tongue out at him, making him give me a weird look.
"You always pick stupid movies, I am not watching the Wizard of Oz again. That's old, and stupid." Braden grumbled, rubbing his forehead in annoyance, "Shit."
