After the incident with Jade, I hauled her up onto Ryder's back and started the journey to freedom. I was still completely confused about what had happened with Jade, it was completely bizarre. Did I do it? Did I hurt Jade?

Jade groaned slightly as she sat up, wincing slightly as her muscles popped. Her eyes widened as she locked eyes with me, jumping backwards and falling off of the equine. He snorted, shying to the side from the sudden movements.

"You." She yelped, her hand clutching at her heart. "You're an evil witch!" She cried, her eyes still widened.

My heart stopped at her words. "I'm not a witch." I replied, my voice shaking slightly. Was I a witch? No. I was a werewolf. Not even close to being a witch.

"Jade, you need to calm down." I said slowly, holding my hands out to her. She scrunched back against a tree, her eyes narrowed into tiny slits. She seemed to be having an internal conflict.

"I can't trust you, Emmilyn.. Or is that even your name.. Witch." She grumbled the last part, wiping the dirt off her hands.

"I am not a witch." I muttered again, petting the dark horse on the neck. Sighing slightly, we needed to hurry.. Not stay here and argue.

"Whatever you say... Witch."

I groaned in frustration, running my fingers through my greasy, thin hair. "How could I be a witch? If I was don't you think I would've bippidy boppidy booed us the hell out of that jail cell a long time ago?" I was internally screaming my lungs out. Frustrated beyond means. "But if you want to believe I'm a witch, by all means keep believing it. But I'm not your damn fairy godmother." I turned my head, turning away from her. "Now I'm heading off, if you want to stay and get captured, fine. If you want to come, then come on."

I kissed to Ryder, making the equine twitch his ears and walk forward; swishing his long tail. Jade made no sudden movement to alert me that she was following, so I continued on.

The leaves blew down and hit the top of my head as the wind whipped onwards. I didn't know where I was going, but I was continuing on the long path. I wasn't about to let the Warriors come get me. A crack of a stick behind me caused Ryder to shy forward, swishing his long tail nervously. "It's okay." I murmured, petting the smooth fur.

"You don't even know where you're going." A reading voice called from behind a tree.

I rolled my eyes, a smug look soon appearing. "Jade, you decided to join?" I called, a grin appearing on my face. Ryder stomped his foot in impatience, eager to keep moving forward.

Jade walked out from behind a tree, her arms crossed and a scowl on her face. Her face held confidence, but her body was weak. It appeared  like she couldn't even take another step. But I knew this girl, she was strong. Strong willed at least. "You have no idea where you are even going to.. So you're stuck. I, I have no strength to take me where I want to go, so I'm stuck. We both need each other." She sighed, walking up to Ryder and patting his hindquarters. "I'll take you to my pack, and you let me on your horse.. Sound fair?"

I was conflicted. Did I really even want to go to another pack and face what I just faced? It wasn't to hard to escape, but truthfully my body wasn't as strong as I needed. "Do I need to worry about becoming a prisoner." I snorted, still unsure about her from her previous blow up.

"As much as I'd like to say yes.. No. You helped me back there, so I'm going to help you. Witch or not." Jade shrugged, her frail hand reaching up, and then her legs as she crawled up behind me onto Ryder.

With a small kiss, I urged Ryder into a slow canter, listening to the directions that Jade would mumble into my ear every few minutes. I wanted to say I was brave, but how can I call myself brave when I'm completely and utterly terrified? How can I be so scared of the unknown, but put out such a brave face. I sighed once more, my back straightening up as I noticed a distinctive change in scenery.

"We're here." Jade muttered, her eyes locked on the clearing in front of us. "Don't show fear, they'll eat you alive." As soon as she finished that sentence a large snarl filled the air, enough to make goosebumps appear on my arms. I nervously rubbed one of them, then stopping to rub the shaking equine beneath me.

"Stop, and dismount. We have you surrounded." A loud authoritative voice called out, once again making chills rise on me. But this time not afraid. My heart skipped a beat, beating fast like a pounding drum.

Piercing blue eyes was the first thing I could make out through the darkness, getting closer and closer. Jade wiggled off of Ryder, following orders. But I stayed on. I was not part of this pack, and I would not bow down like an innocent puppy to an Alpha I had never met.

"Alpha, it's me. Jade. I have returned back with the help of this girl." She called weakly, and pointed towards me. I could only see one set of eyes, but I could feel hundreds on me. The blue pair moved closer to me, quickly. They seemed to not leave mine, staying locked on mine even as he ran forward.

"So you're the one who has the packs in such a conniption, eh?" He asked, his masculine voice making me shiver.
