Love is a rational word and chemistry is only chemicals.

After Olivia left Elliot and just went to Mercy hospital to see the victim, but she couldn't shake the fact that Elliot had kissed her and she pulled away because she is scared of being hurt just like Lance hurt her, she was almost done with her love life and there is no one to blame but herself cause she wanted the feeling of being loved. Elliot could have given her that, but he chose to hide his feelings.

Elliot's POV

I don't know what i did, i tried and i told her how i felt about her and she just pushes me away, maybe i should have told her earlier , maybe i shouldnt have kissed her just that moment. I just want her to be happy we have been partners for the longest time and nothing has ever changed we both know we are meant for each other but ... but maybe she's not ready...maybe Lance is really the one for her..

Olivia's POV

It's the secrets we hide that kill us and it kills us slowly, Elliot doesn't know that Lance had left me cause I make it "obvious" that I'm in love with Elliot, well i guess I'm not hiding it anymore cause I DO LOVE HIM but i could never be loved, I'm too damaged and I have to love myself first thats why i plan to have some ME time cause nothing will ever come of elliot and i if i don't change.

THE NEXT DAY

Everyone was at the precinct looking at cases and figuring out partners but olivia wasn't there and elliot was getting worried cause usually she is here early.

"hey fin have you seen olivia?" elliot asked worried, Fin nodded his head. Elliot looked around and saw captain out the door and walked towards him.

"hey cap where is Liv?" he asked, cap looked at him with a face trying not to make it big deal, "she is on maternity leave el, she said she needed time to think and get her life together, but she told me to give you this." cap said handing him a note and Elliot took it and walked away.

I'm not leaving for a long time just a month or so but I couldn't face you, I never could because it would hurt you too much but there are so many things I wanted to tell you that day you kissed me but how could I? everything is a mess. Lance left me because he noticed something I never did, and I just need to think cause i'm tired of being pushed in every which direction and getting hurt. I always wondered what it would have been like if i hadn't met Lance that night, if I hadn't fallen in love with him. But I hope you know that its not your fault I'm leaving and that ill be back.
