Part 29

The choices in life we make aren't always good, The mistakes we make in life are a whole other story. Olivia was tired of everything she wanted things she couldn't have for example, Ryan she always wanted to adopt him but her job field and Lance stopped her from doing that, she just wanted a normal life with kids it seemed like the hardest thing to do. Ryan was once again ripped out of Olivia's arms in that hospital room, wishing there could have been more time, wishing the job didn't put her life at risk.

Olivia was released from the hospital, going straight home but shutting the world out because that was the only way of not getting hurt anymore from her job, not having Ryan, and mainly Elliot. She loves Elliot, not even as her partner more than that and it killed her slowly, seeing him with Kathy and other women. JEALOUSLY KILLS. It was like they were in high school, one can't tell one another if they like each other because they are shy or for some reason. Olivia and Elliot on the other hand were partners for 25 years, their chemistry was always there but it wasn't out in the open or maybe it was and they didn't realize it. Elliot tried calling her phone but it just kept going to voicemail, he even came to her apartment but she wouldn't even answer that. She became depressed as the days went by became so bad that she hadn't showered in months, eating junk food and take out, and the curtains were drawn till the rooms were pitch black. Crying herself to sleep wasting away  the youth she has.

 It had been 4 months since she was released out of the hospital, she was still in her pitch black apartment with nothing to do but sleep all day. The front door knocked twice but no answer then the knocks got constant, Olivias head was pounding, she got up fast getting a head rush trying to make her way to the front door but the clutter on the floor made it very hard. She opened the door with her hair a messed up and dark circles under her eyes, her eyes widened to what was in front of her, she made out a little smile.

"I miss you" the little voice said, running to hug her. Olivia hugged back, not knowing what to say. She was in shock and felt happy for the first time ever in 4 months.

"I miss you too" she said in a quiet voice, "how did you get here?" she asked standing back up. 

"I took the bus, I was looking for you at the precinct but they said you were sick, and I must say a lot has changed over there. It kinda made me sad, because you guys saved me and it has fallen apart." the little voice said sadly as if it was the end of the world. Olivia opened the door a little wider motioning to come in, they sat on the couch.

"Ryan... a lot is happening and I'm sorry ...I'm sorry I can't help you right now, I am trying.." Olivia said with a tear falling down, Ryan sat next to her, opening his arms wide to hug her.

" I know and I will always love you no matter what, because you will always be somewhat my mom" Ryan said still hugging, Olivia was suddenly brought back to reality.

"Ryan you have to go back home honey...Im sorry I just... I can't at the moment." Olivia said getting up walking him out the door, he was being resistaint but she kept walking him out.

"I love you...." Ryan said with a tear falling down his cheek. Olivia looked at him.

"I love you too...." she said back, closing the door and falling to the ground. She screamed in frustration and looked at her surroundings. It was a mess.

Olivia had the chance to get her life back she didn't have to be depressed, She cleaned her whole apartment, when i mean clean I mean deep cleaning. She opened the blinds the sun beamed through the rooms the floors shined bright. She showered with her lavender soap lathering it all over and rinsing it off and applying lavender shampoo and conditioner to her soft brown long hair. She got out to dry off, styling her hair with her curling hair, making bouncy curls. Putting light makeup on. Everything was gonna be okay again. The door knocked once and she ran to it, once she opened it she had a slight smile.

"El..." she said with a smile, he smiled back and hugged her.

"i miss you" he said quietly, she smiled shutting her eyes. She looked at him in the eyes..

" I need to tell you something El... it's really important" she said seriously making eye contact, he looked at her smiling big with his bright blue eyes that made the room light up.

"I'm....I'm in love with you and I always have been..." She said confidently. 

Their eyes interlocked. It was quiet.

Elliot got closer to her and grabbed her waist pulling her closer to him, "I'm madly in love you Liv and I've always been.." he said kissing her passionately.

Love is patient, love is kind. But sometimes it's not.
