Part 35

*ELLIOTS POINT OF VIEW*

I found a lead to who could have possibly taken Tessa, but there is so much more into this case than just her being discharged from the hospital, Saul Estrousa. I believe that was the name Olivia had found while Tessa was in the hospital. It just didn't make sense. I can't help but think if this was the plan all along, because I specifically remember her telling both Liv and I, that  she needed to hide and she needed to hide now, or someone was going to hurt her. she was scared of someone and it kills me because we didn't even get to question her more, only the night she told me that it was obvious I like Olivia. I have to find her, regardless of how long it has been. She would be 13 years old right now. I refuse to give up on her. But... Liv came in yesterday, and we hadn't spoken in two years, she moved away and I'm not sure. I do think she came at the wrong possible timing if she is here to ask for her job back, I say that in the least disrespectful way possible, because fuck do I miss her. I want her to tell me everything and anything that has happened. But this Tessa case had just been reopened and that was the main reason she left, but I feel like there's more to that story. I hope to eventually find out. But this case means everything and I will get to the bottom of this.

Olivia had walked in with her pant suits looking beautiful as ever, waving to everyone as she made her way to Captains office, Everyone was so excited to see her that they were already excited for her to be back. Munch got all excited cause he can finally be partners with Fin again. It was a good day. Olivia had been in Cragens office for about an hour signing papers for her return. She was hesitant but she really missed working with everyone. She truly did love her job. After she finished all the paper work, Cragen chuckled putting the papers away, Olivia side eyed him, humming in confusion. 

"I swear if you leave one more damn time.. Liv" he chuckled even more, Olivia felt bad about leaving but she had good reasons and he knew that. "You know you'll always have a job here regardless." he finished getting up to go hug her. They hugged for the longest time that Liv started crying, Cap noticed it and held her face letting her know that it was okay and she didn't have to worry, because he understood. She gave a faint smile. He released her face picking up a file and studying it, his face went blank because he remembered the reason why she left and she couldn't have picked a better time to come back. sarcasm. He was hesitant to tell her about the case Elliot was currently working on, Olivia looked at the file and gestured to see it, she grabbed it out of his hand. Studying it from top to bottom of the file. Her face was sunken in, she plopped back down on the chair. speechless. 

"I- don't think I can do this case cap.. i specifically remember ... SPECIFICALLY remember there was no leads, no witnesses, and it took me a year .. that's why I-' Olivia said passing the file back to him in distraught shaking her head no. Cragen understood shaking his head not really knowing what to say to her. Cragen sat back at his desk folding his hand putting them under his chin. "Liv .. I understand , but I need you to work on this case with Elliot, theres more to all of this. Elliot has been getting somewhere with it." he said bluntly but comforting. Olivia gazed out the window thinking about what she was going to get herself into. Yes, this was her job but she had worked so hard to find Tessa, only to lead in the same damn spot she started. Olivia turned back to Cragen and noddd her head. "I will do it." She said getting up and walking out of the office to her desk.

Everyone came rushing towards Olivia greeting her and was filled with so much love. Everyone had so many questions about where she was and what had happened in between the time she left and since she came back. Cragen came out and glared at everyone to get back to work and finish conversations later. Olivia sat down, reminiscing how the times at the precinct use to be. She logged onto the computer to do some digging or any leads, she called Mercy hospital one more time too see if there was any footage coming in or out, possibly from across the street. anything. There was absolutely nothing. Elliot came barging into the precinct, running to his desk not noticing that Olivia was sitting right in front of him. Elliot looked up where Saul Estrousa had worked previously and if the license plates were a match. Elliot threw the pen he was holding, leaning back in his chair putting his palms in his face. Olivia looked but didn't say anything yet, Elliot snapped out of it, realizing who was in front of him, his eyes lit up bright. 

"Liv!!!" Elliot exclaimed, they both got up and jumped into a hug as the hug got tighter. Olivia shed a little tear, wiping it away as the hug released. "i missed you so so much" Elliot said with tears falling. Olivia saw and cried with him. "Okay... stop" she said laughing wiping away her tears. It was a real moment, Elliot thought he would never see Olivia again, and Olivia thought she never would ask for her job back, and be partners with Elliot ever again. Elliot smiled.

"well im glad to have you as my partner Detective Benson" He said bowing down to her. Olivia rolled her eyes. "well, Detective Stabler, for better or for worse, I think I remember correctly.." she said winking at him, sitting back down getting back to work. Elliot had the biggest smile, he had to stop. 

Elliots face turned serious, "uhm so Tessa.. I think tomorrow we should go check out the house and the work place. I found the addresses but didn't get a chance to go, I had the plates ran and if they are. Bingo!" Elliot said writing notes down. Olivia had nodded her head agreeing to the plan. Olivia remembered Tessa and how she was such a helpless little girl who just wanted to be helped, she thought hiding was the way to get away. 

"i cannot wait to find her.." Olivia stated pursing her lips, with sadness in her eyes, "we were so close , I shouldn't have left her I should have just gotten there earlier." Olivia beat herself up with her words, Elliot didn't agree with what she had just said, because they couldn't have possibly knew that was going to happen. "Don't do that to yourself, I think we got it this time. we do i believe it" Elliot said comforting her. Olivia didn't know what to think, she didn't want to be in the same position she was in 2 years ago, given it was her job she felt like she failed as a detective, being a detective for 13 years. She couldn't believe she let one little girl go missing from under her, with ZERO TRACE. failed. Elliot made sure to let Olivia know that it wasn't her fault and hopes that when they do find Tessa, Olivia feels relieved. 

Tomorrow was the day where they really go and search for Tessa, they put warrants out for Saul Estrousa and that if he is spotted, don't startle him and don't make any contact unless it's Benson or Stabler. They weren't playing games this time. They needed to find her. 

*OLIVIAS POINT OF VIEW*

I have decided to move back to NYC, it was a tough choice but I realized NYC is my home and I have avoided real life for a good while. I asked for my job back at the precinct, I do truly miss working there, and I really miss Elliot, and I can't wait to continue our partnership. However, when Cragen told me how the Tessa case has been open and that there was leads. I flipped, I just wish I hadn't come at this exact time, I couldn't do it. But then I remembered how much Tessa was scared and just things I vividly remember, and she needs us. Even though i spent a whole year figuring out this case, Im ready to give it however long it needs now.
