Ethan's POV

"Hey mom," I said hugging my mom.

"She is beautiful Ethan, I see what you were talking about those past months," she said whispering in my ear.

I pull away and smile at her.

"She's pretty cool," I said winking at her.

I looked at Cadence who was just standing in the doorway not knowing what to do.

"Come here Cadence!" My mom said wanting to give her a hug.

She went to give my mom a hug, but they sat there for a long time just hugging each other?

"Can we get coffee later?" Cadence said pulling away from my mom.

"Of course sweetie," she said smiling at her.

I am confused? I thought that she would be really shy and not talk to any of my family but I guess she made me think wrong.

"Cadence, we can go up to my room and put our things in there," I told her.

"Oh wait guys, I invited Jack to dinner tonight with us since you guys all know each other and you guys haven't seen each other in a while so why not?" My mom said.

Cadence looked at me worried.

"Cadence go upstairs and I will talk to her okay," I told Cadence reassured her that everything will be fine.

Cadence went upstairs behind Grayson headed to my room, I think that she is scared now.

"MOM!"

"What, did I do something?" She asked in an innocent voice.

"Yes mom! You did something very wrong, I never told you this but Jack choked Cadence while he was drunk at a party one night..."

"I'm so sorry... I wish I would've known. It's to late to say no since he is coming in 10 minutes," she said.

"Ugh. We will see what we can do, I just want her to stay away from him even though that will be hard since we are having a family dinner with him!" I said getting angry.

I left my mom standing there and went upstairs to my room. I see the bags on my bed but no Cadence?

I went into Grayson's room to see Cadence crying and Grayson comforting her. Not going to lie, jealousy did take over my body but not going to make a big deal out of it.

"I should've stayed in LA, the one person that I didn't want to see is back and now he might try to do something again," she said crying.

I went over to her and she wrapped her arms around me.

"I promise everything is going to get better okay?"

"Okay, let's go start a movie downstairs to take my mind off of things until it's dinner time," she said drying her tears.

We went to my room and shut the door to get changed into something comfy since we were in the same clothes from when we were on the plane.

"Do I need to get dressy for the dinner?" She asked me.

"Of course not! I am getting comfy and about to watch a movie until we have some good ass food!" I said making her laugh.

"Well I might as well make myself at home," she said pulling out a T-Shirt that said lets sleep in and her black nike pros.

"That's the spirit!" I said acting like I was excited.

"Tonight is just going to be laid back and we are just going to enjoy each other, my wish for 5 months," I told her.
