Relaxing

When I woke up he was not beside me. I began to panic. I got up and ran down the hall to where Jake was sleeping to see him not there. When I turned around I bumped into someone. I looked up to see James looking extremely worried. I hugged him tight.
"Hey it's okay. I'm right here. What's wrong?" He asked as he rubbed my back.
"You told me you would be there when I woke up." I stated almost in tears.
"I had to go to the bathroom. I'm so sorry Jersey." He said as he kissed my head. I hugged him tighter as we just sat there for a few minutes.
"Hey so breakfast is almost rea-Sorry for interrupting." Jake said as he came running up the stairs making us break apart.
"Great. We will be done in a minute." James said looking at him as I buried my face in his chest. Jake nodded his head slowly and walked back down the stairs. "Are you going to be okay?" He asked me as he held my shoulders. I nodded my head.
"Yeah I'm going to be okay. I need to go to the bathroom." I said as he nodded his head.
"I'll be downstairs." He said before walking down the stairs and I walked into the bathroom. I did my thing and slowly made my way down the stairs.
"Jersey, can we talk?" Jake asked as I raised an eyebrow at him. I looked at James as he nodded at me.
"Uh sure." I said as he grabbed my wrist and pulled me away from James. We walked into the living room out the front door. "Why are we outside?" I asked as he scratched the back his neck.
"I just need to talk. Why are you so close to him? You barely even know him." Jake stated as I could tell he was trying to not sound angry. I felt a burning sensation flame into my body. I took a deep breath trying to calm myself down.
"Listen, I just feel a connection with him. I understand what you mean but I just can't help but feel something. I just need to be with him." I said as I watched Jake's reaction. He bit his lip.
"I'm sorry." He said as I nodded my head.
"Can we go back inside now?" I asked as he nodded his head. We walked back inside where James was still in the kitchen. I walked up behind him as I hugged him. He placed his hand on my head.
"What's that for?" He asked as I kissed his temple.
"Nothing." I said as he smiled at me. I grabbed a plate of food that was on the counter and sat down at the table beside James.
"Jake, how did you make these eggs? They are incredible." James said as Jake swallowed his eggs and smiled proudly.
"I just used cheese. Cheesy eggs are good eggs." Jake said as I smiled taking another bite. As soon as I finished my food I put it in the sink and began to wash it.
"Jersey, I'll wash the dishes." James said as he stood up taking the plate from my hand and began to wash it. I looked at Jake who just stood up.
"I think I'm gonna have a shower. I kind of need one." Jake said sniffing his arm pit as I blushed slightly. He ran up the stairs as I grabbed a towel from the drawer beginning to dry the dishes.
"You really don't have to help me." James said as I shook my head grabbing the plate he just washed in my hand to dry it.
"I was raised to wash the dishes." I said as I smiled slightly at him. He smiled at me.
"Your mom defiantly raised you right." He said as I nodded my head. We finished doing the dishes as we sat down in the living room. "So I was thinking maybe we could talk. Get to know each other a little more." He said as I began to fiddle with my fingers. I sat up and stared at him.
"Sure." I said as he nodded his head.
"What grade are you in?" He asked as I leaned back a bit.
"I'm in grade 12." I said as he nodded his head. He leaned forward.
"So your 17?" He asked as I nodded my head. He smiled slightly but then it disappeared. "I was thinking maybe to spend a bit of time together, we could go to the beach. If you'd like?" He asked as I nodded my head smiling.
"Yeah I'd like that, except Jake and I don't have bathing suits." I said as he nodded his head. Jake came running back down the stairs his hair a bit wet.
"Sorry did I interrupt something?" Jake asked as he looked at us. I stood up along with James.
"We are going to go to the beach." James said as I looked back at James and then at Jake smiling.
"But we don't have bathing suits?" Jake said looking at us.
"I will buy you bathing suits. I think we just need to relax for a bit." James said as I nodded my head excited.
"Alright. Let's go swimming!" Jake said as I ran up the stairs past Jake kissing his cheek as I did. I got dressed and met the boys down the stairs.
"We all set?" James asked as I nodded my head. We got into the car and went to the mall. Jake and I got out of the car walking towards the mall. We walked in amazed at the size of the mall. "Okay so we are going to an awesome shop that has amazing teen set up." James said as we walked into this store where we were greeted by a teen model wearing a bathing suit.
"Hi welcome to Teen 21. How can we help you?" She said as she smiled. James looked at Jake and I.
"We need bathing suits for these two." James said as I nodded my head. The girl took me by the hand as we walked into an isle with bathing suits. I grabbed one I liked and tried it on. Once we were done shopping we went to the beach.
"I'm going to go to the change room." I stated as I walked towards it. I walked in and got changed. I walked out to see Jake and James waiting for me in their bathing suits. Jake lowered his sunglasses and stared at me up and down.
"Jersey, you look amazing." James said as I grabbed my shots and tank top placing them on me.
"Thanks. I just want to swim. Relax for a bit." I said as we walked towards three beach lawn chairs where I sat on it. I laid down as I took off my tank top and my shorts. I tanned for a bit while the boys would get out of the water and come sit beside me every now and then. After a few hours of just sunbathing and relaxing we decided to go home. We walked up to the car while I looked back to see my dad not with us anymore. He was talking to a lady. I felt my body tense up.
"James. Let's go." Jake said knowing that I was tense. He looked at me and nodded as he said good bye to the girl.
"Alright. All ready to go home?" James asked as I crossed my arms walking towards the passenger side and ignored him. We got into the car where James was about to start the car.
"Who's that girl?" I asked crossing my arms. He sighed and put the keys down.
"She's no one Jersey, just a friend from work that's all." He said as he placed his hand on my knee. I looked at him.
"You promise?" I said as he nodded his head.
"I promise. I haven't had a girl since your mom okay?" He said as he started the car. I nodded my head as I crossed my arms. It was a silent ride home as Jake almost fell asleep in the back seat. We arrived at his place. We got out of the car to see the sun was about to go down. We walked up to the door where James rummaged through his pockets for the keys. We got the keys and unlocked the door. Just as he opened it he got a phone call. I walked past him as he answered the phone." Hello?-Lenny?-You sound terrible are you okay?-Yeah her and her friend are with me-What is going on?-Lenny? Lenny?" He said as he hung up the phone. I stood in the living room as Jake shut the door behind him. James looked at his phone with a confused look.
"Everything okay?" Jake asked as he came to walk towards me. He stood a bit in front of me as I crossed my arms. I raised my eyebrow at James as he looked up at us. His expression changed to confused to worried. He came running towards us as he grabbed Jake and I pulling us over the couch. Gun shots began to fire as we hit the floor. I curled into James as the gun shots kept firing.
"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!"
