"You okay?" Harry asks as he holds Carrie-Ann's hand.

She nodded laying back on the hospital bed, they were waiting for the doctor to come in to them.

"Little nervous, but that's natural right?"

He kisses her hand. "Of course it is, i'm a little nervous too if I'm honest."

She closed her eyes. "I just don't want you to be disappointed or anything if you know.. I'm not.."

"It's okay," He squeezed her hand. "If you're not then it's not meant to be,"

She leaned down and kissed him as the doctor walked in giving her a friendly smile as she introduced herself.

"How have you been feeling?" She asks sitting down, placing her clipboard and leaflets beside the scanner.

"A little funny sometimes, and I haven't had a period - which is why I booked this appointment." Carrie-Ann smiles sheepishly.

"Understandable." The doctor nodded. "Missing your period is the most common sign of pregnancy,"

The doctor asked Carrie-Ann some more questions, some of them making her blush and Harry laugh to which she pinched his thumb slightly to get him to stop. She could see his smirk in the corner of her eyes however.

When it came to the scan, both Harry and Carrie-Ann held their breath. The doctor concentrated but by not saying anything she only made them both more nervous.

"Yes." She beamed looking over at Carrie-Ann to Harry. "You are pregnant, congratulations."

Both Harry and Carrie-Ann looked at each other, Harry was grinning from ear to ear and Carrie-Ann was more or less in shock.

The doctor handed them each a copy of the first scan. "You are five weeks pregnant so the neural tube will developing in his or hers  brain, spinal cord, and nerves. He or she is currently the size of a sesame seed." She informs pointing to a board which has all the sizes of the fetus from one week to nine months. "Now, he or she may be tiny but you still have to take full care of yourself, eat healthily, exercise regularly and don't let yourself get distressed." She advised.

Both Harry and Carrie-Ann listened carefully, both nodding as she finished.

"Any more questions?"

"When is he or she due?" Carrie-Ann asked.

"Oh, yes. Of course, I'm so sorry let me just have a look." She smiles apologetically. "Well, how does the fifth of August sound?"

Both Carrie-Ann and Harry smile. "Perfect,"

Harry and Carrie-Ann were laying on their backs on their bed, both staring at the scan photos.

"Has it sunk in yet?" Harry asks. "We're going to be parents,"

"I don't think it'll fully sink in until I have a bump,"

Harry placed his hand gently on her stomach. "There's a tiny human in there," He smiled watching as her smile faded slowly. "I know you're scared," He licked his lips. "But I promise you, everything will be okay. He or she will appear in this world and we'll love them with everything we have."

She smiled, suddenly feeling tired. "Who shall we tell first?"

He thought for a moment. "I think we should wait until it's obvious that you're pregnant, have it be our secret for a few months.. Then I'll fly my parents over, have a big dinner with your parents too. Tell them together."

She felt nervous at the thought of having his parents meet hers, they weren't exactly your normal parents. "How am I even going to think about telling Amy?"

Harry let out a breath. "Worry about that nearer the time, for now let's just be happy?"

She kisses him. "Deal,"

"Now that we know you're pregnant, promise me when I'm away on promo tour you'll take care of yourself?"

Carrie-Ann rolls her eyes. "Harry, I'm a grown woman I'll be fine."

He sighs. "I think it's going to be a girl,"

She turns to look at him, "You do? Why?"

He shrugs, "I'm always surrounded by girls,"

She raises her eyebrow.

"That came out wrong," He cringes. "I meant, I was basically brought up by my mum and sister. Lou's my best friend - I just always have a female influence around me."

"I'm not your best friend?" She asks raising her eyebrow again.

"I'm just going to stop talking," He mumbles cuddling into her shoulder.

She chuckles. "I know what you meant," She kisses his hair. "I don't know what they'll be, they say you know instinctively as you get bigger."

"Who knows," Harry sighs happily. "Who knows,"
