- Aurora at two months -
"Are you sure you're fine?" Carrie-Ann checked once again.
Harry rolled his eyes. "Yes Caz, you're only going a few hours, I can look after my own daughter."
She took in a deep breath. "And the milk-"
He gave her a stern look.
"Sorry," She mumbled sheepishly.
Today, Carrie-Ann's book was going on sale. Yes, she had finally finalised it all. She had spent many nights finishing it and perfecting every page. When she sent it off, it felt like she was giving her life away.
But finally it was out, out for the world to see.
She had press junkets all day with very little breaks in between that she had to attend to. Because she now lives in England a lot of the US journalists had to fly to the UK which meant she would basically be sat in one room all day speaking to different people.
"I feel so bad," She pouted, rocking Aurora in her arms. She had a spare ten minutes.
"Don't feel bad, it's work. Plus, you're not always leaving her, she'll be fine." Harry promises kissing her.
There was nothing worse than leaving your child for the first time, they had been together since she was born, she had a bond with her.
"I'll try to get it over and done with as fast as I can," She knew this wasn't possible, press junkets were long, hard days.
"Just do what you have to, everything is good here. We're meeting Lou and Lux at Hyde Park for ice cream, we'll be fine,"
Carrie-Ann pouted kissing Aurora a final time before handing her over to Harry. "Bye bye my princess," She kissed her head before picking up her bag.
"You look beautiful by the way," Harry complimented leaning in for another kiss.
"You're too good to me," She blushed.
He laughed shaking his head. "I'm just saying the truth, you're always beautiful,"
Carrie-Ann's heart almost burst watching him smile at her as he held their daughter. She shook her head, kissing them a final time before heading out to the car that was waiting for her.

"So how are you finding fatherhood?" Lou asked as they walked slowly across the park to the ice cream van. It was a hot day in August and Harry had to keep an eye on Aurora, overheating is one of the biggest killers to young babies so he read on a fathers blog. It was difficult to balance keeping her protected from the paps as well as covered from the sun without making her over heat.
Thankfully he hadn't been noticed as of yet, he pretty much blended in. With the band on their break for a few months now they had all been almost forgotten with the media, since Aurora's birth they've been hot targets but for now he was unrecognized.
"Great, I'm loving it. Carrie-Ann is the best mum,"
Lou smiled swinging her hand with Lux. "I knew she would be,"
"Can I get an ice cream?" Lux jumped up and down repeatedly. "Please, please, please?"
Lou gave her some money and watched as the energetic four year old ran up to the man.
"She'll be doing it that one day," Lou smiled looking into the stroller to find Aurora fast asleep.
"It's crazy to think how much she's going to change, I'm glad I get to experience it all. I'd hate to have been on tour and miss it,"
"Yeah, it's lucky timing."
When Lux had her ice cream they found a bench to sit on so she could eat it.
"Harry, can 'Rora have some?" Lux asked looking into the stroller to see Aurora holding a bear, looking up curiously at her. She couldn't quite pronounce her name right just yet.
"She's too young yet, she won't like it," He smiled looking at his daughter. He didn't want to agree when people said she looked like him, but he knew it was true, she was just like him.
"Why? Everyone likes ice cream," Lux frowned. Lux wasn't yet too sure if she liked the new baby being here, she quite liked always having Harry's attention.
"Babies don't, it's too cold for them when they're really little." He replied. Lux looked up at him in amazement, out of all the boys Harry was the one Lux grew the closest with, he quickly became a sort of uncle figure to her. He personally thought it was because he took the time out to be with Lou, Lux and Lux's father Tom was a great friend to him. He was almost like a part of their family.
"When can she have ice cream then?" She asked.
"When she's your age," He poked her stomach gently making her giggle.
"But that's a long, long way away."
He tapped her chin to rid the dripping ice cream. "Sorry bud."

The day was exhausting for Carrie-Ann it was her first full on work day since Aurora was born and it had tired her out. She had press conferences, interviews and met up with bloggers all to discuss her book. Although it was tough she enjoyed it and liked being out of the house.
Although a lot of the time she was asked about her book, there was obviously the more curious journalists who wanted to know about Aurora, Harry and motherhood. She answered cautiously, careful not to give too much away - she felt private, home life was hers and only hers, it wasn't public information too. Most of the time she'd answer with a smile and say Harry was a great father, Aurora was a lovely, beautiful baby and they're a very happy family.
Although she had been enjoying the day, she couldn't help but think about Aurora the whole time. She'd call Harry during her short breaks and check in, he'd laugh and make fun of her but knew she was finding the separation difficult.

When she arrived home Harry was feeding Aurora her night time bottle, Carrie-Ann smiled leaning against Aurora's bedroom door watching him sway side to side - his back to her, singing What A Wonderful World as she quietly drank.
Carrie-Ann snapped a photo of the two before disappearing into their room to change into comfier clothes, a smile on her face. Although she didn't get to see her daughter today she knew she was in good care with Harry and it made her feel confident about their future, and as if she could maybe do things by herself more often from now on.
