Somewhere Only We Know

It was a rainy afternoon and RJ and Maine are both busy with their respective schedules. RJ with his photoshoots and Maine with her commercial shoot. She was exhausted and she suddenly missed her RJ. During break, she took her phone out and saw no message from him.

"Ano na kaya ginagawa nun? Kahit isang text man lang wala."

"Uy, bakit nakasambakol yang mukha mo?" Her handler, asked.

"Wala. Pagod lang ako."

"Pagod? Parang hindi naman. Yung mukha mo parang malungkot na nagtatampo."

"Pagod nga. Huwag ka nga." She pouted and frowned.

"Talaga lang ha? Nako Menggay, DON'T ME. Hahahahaha. Miss mo siguro 'no?"

"Huh? Bakit ko naman mamimiss yung mokong na yun? Psh."

"Kita mo 'to! Wala nga akong sinabing pangalan may naisip na agad. Di ba pwedeng sina Nanay at Tatay yung tinutukoy ko? Hahahaha. Hay nako Meng."

Maine just rolled her eyes and stayed quiet. After a while, the director called her to go on with the shoot. It was almost night time. The shooting was still going on but the rain had already stopped. While the cameras were rolling, Jecker went out to meet someone...

"Grabe ka! Ayos na. Basta ha? Ibalik mo sa oras."

"Oo naman! Salamat Jeck ha?"

"Sus! Ayos lang. Sa Bulacan ang uwi ha. Baka mamaya sa Laguna mo na dalhin."

"Hahahaha! Grabe s'ya. Hindi pa naman." And he smiled his gorgeous smile.

"Last sequence!!!", they heard the director shout.

"O sige Richard, balik na muna ako dun baka hanapin ako nung prinsesa."

"Sige Jeck. Sa sasakyan lang ako."

When Jecker came back, the shoot was almost done. After a few more shots, someone shouted, "PACK UP!" and of course, Maine did her "pack up dance" because that's how she rolls. After everything was done, she went up to Jecker who was fixing her things. She took her phone out and again, no message from him.

"Bilisan mo na Meng."

"Huh? May appointment ka ba? Bakit ka nagmamadali? Hahahaha"

"Eh basta. Bilisan mo na at kanina pa naghihintay yung sundo mo. Bilis na. Dadalhin ko na 'tong gamit mo sa sasakyan mo." Before she could say anything, Jecker already went off.

"Ano kaya yun? May lakad siguro. Excited ha. Hahahaha." Maine bid farewell to everybody on the shoot and headed to her car.

"Bakit ka pa nagtagal dun sa loob?"

"Wow! Grabe ka naman magmadali. Nagpaalam lang naman sa mga tao. Eto naman." She was about to get inside the back of the car but Jecker stopped her.

"Oh bakit?" She asked, confused.

"Sa harap ka."

"Huh?" Before Jecker could answer, she saw the familiar black Hyundai Sta. Fe parked just behind hers. Her eyes widened and she immediately, if not excitedly, opened the door at the passenger side and there he was, smiling widely at her sitting on the driver's seat.

"Hi love. Surprise!" She just stood there, dumbfounded.

"Menggay! Sakay na. Sayang ang oras oh." She shook her head and bade Jecker goodbye. After she got in, she looked at RJ and slapped his arm.

"Grabe ka! Maghapon kang walang text tapos magugulat na lang ako nandito ka na." And for the first time that day, she smiled. She smiled her most genuine smile that made RJ fall in love with her over again.
