"Hon, I miss you."

"Miss agad? It's not like we didn't see each other last week."

"Yun na nga Hon eh. We saw each other LAST WEEK. Puro na lang call & text. Bawal ba ma-miss ang girlfriend ko?"

"Alden, you're being a baby. Ang tanda mo na para maging ganyan. Wait, I have to end this call, I have to go back to work. Bye."

"Hon-" Alden heard the beep tone signaling the call's end.

"I love you." He whispered to himself.

"Hey bro! Naka-score ako ng date kay Valeen!" His friend Jerald enthusiastically announced. Jerald noticed Alden's expression.

"Wow. Salamat sa suporta brad. Naka-simangot ka?"

"Huh? Ah wala. Ano nga ulit yung sinabi mo?"

"Sabi ko, pumayag nang makipag-date sa akin si Valeen. Problema mo? Teka hulaan ko. Si Jillian na naman yan ano?"

Jillian. Jillian was Alden's girlfriend for five years. They met each other at a party through mutual friends. They hit it off immediately, started becoming friends until he asked her out and eventually became a couple. Jillian was sweet, nice and beautiful. On their first year together, he introduced her to his family, and they were more than happy to welcome her. But things took a turn when they were on their third year. Both have graduated from college and both are trying to make it big in their respective careers. Alden made sure to give time. Always asking her for dates and weekend road trips like they usually do but Jillian, on the other hand, changed. She was always thinking about work. Whenever they see each other, everything is rushed. Eating, talking, and whatever there is for them to do. Her weekend visits to his house became less frequent. Jillian started drifting away. He is hurt but he doesn't want to acknowledge all of these, simply because he loves her. He will hold on to the relationship as long as Jillian is with him, for as long as he can. But what hurts him the most is the fact that Jillian never introduced him to her family. At first, he understood. She would always say it's "too early", for them to just "enjoy the moment" and to "not rush into things". Now, they're on their fifth year and he thinks that it's only right to introduce him to her family. Then again, he just dismissed the thought, not wanting to pressure Jillian.

"Clingy ba ako masyado?" He suddenly asked his friend.

"Aba anong malay ko. Ako ba girlfriend mo?"

"Gago! Sa observation mo."

"Hmm..Sakto lang naman. Bakit? Sinabi ba ni Jillian na masyado ka nang clingy?"

"Hindi naman." He stopped himself before he could say more.

"Speaking of Jillian, hindi na ata napapadpad dito sa opisina mo yun."

"Busy."

"Ikaw hindi? Eh kahit nasa kalagitnaan ka ng meeting halos lumipad ka from Ortigas to Alabang para lang madala yung naiwan niyang papeles."

"Je."

"Nako Den! Nako lang talaga. Bahala ka na diyan. Kakain na muna ako." He understood why his friend was like that. Celebrities have this so called "haters" and you could call Jerald just like that. He doesn't necessarily hate Jillian. "She just doesn't feel right.", his exact words when Alden asked him what he doesn't like about her.

Alden thought for a bit. "Is it still right to hold on?"

It was after work when Jerald asked Alden to come with them for a Boy's Night Out.
