When I woke up, I found myself lying on a white thin mattress, and I felt like I had just been reborn. My eyesight is sharper, my limbs are more energetic, and I feel so lively, so much more powerful. I thought of a ball of red, fiery fire, feeling the intense burn, flames ready to devour the enemy. When I opened my eyes, I got a shock. The result was better than I expected. The ball of fire was so hot I could feel the heat radiating towards me. It was so hot that there were streaks of non-luminous blue fire in the red fire. I closed my palm, putting out the flame. Before I had the liquid in my blood, it was difficult to create a ball of fire. I had to focus very hard, which makes me tire out very easily, especially during battle. I saw a clothes stand at the end of the matteress, on it hung a blue vest, and a long sleeve abyss blue cape. A metallic belt was designed in intricate designs (in the pic above :)). I put them on, and looked at myself in the mirror. I looked majestically powerful. Whem i looked my self in the mirror, I gasped. My eyes had turned gold, my hair pure silver.
"Does the costume fit perfectly?" A voice asked. I turned around and saw Dr. Gottschalk walking towards me arrogantly.
"Oh yes, it does! I love the cape! It's amazing!" I exclaimed in happiness.
"Yes, it is bulletproof, and fireproof. So you wouldn't get hurt if anyone tries to harm you with bullets or with fire. Oh, and....I had some guests in my rooms. Maybe you would recognise them," he said. As he led me the way to the dark alley, he added, "As the effect has just taken action, you will still remember your past with your friends, camp, some vivid memories. But eventually you will forget those memories, and your past."
"Great. Thanks for the handy info," I grunted. I took this vial because I never wanted to remember my past with my friends, and at camp. I want to vengeance Percy and see him lie on the floor, dying in pain. I would love to see that painful expression written all over his prideful face.
I smiled to myself, ever ready to see that stupid, selfish, heartless face of Percys'.
"They are here," Dr. Gottschalk motioned. I entered the room and saw my friends- no, my enemies sat on the cold, concrete floor. Their hands and legs were tied tightly with ropes. The ropes were so tight till there were red marks on their wrists. I suddenly felt a pang of guilt hung on my chest. Dr. Gottschalk saw that I was staring at the ropes and said, "Those ropes are tied tightly so that they won't escape that easily."
"Um....you don't have to tie the ropes that tightly though." I mumbled. Jason woke up, and saw us. He widened his eyes and Dr. Gottschalk immediate ly took out a handkerchief from his lab pocket and stuffed it into his mouth.
"I'll give you and those people some time before I come back." Dr. Gottschalk said, and walked out of the door. I shut the door and turned towards Jason. I took out the handkerchief from his mouth and hissed, "Why did you come here?"
"We realised that you went missing three days ago, and we came to look for you," wheezed Jason.
"Why do you have to look for me?" I asked, my expression softening. Jason got up and cupped my face with his hands, and bored into my eyes.
"Thalia, why do you have to do this? Why do you want revenge against Percy? Why? He is your friend!" He frowned, confused. I back away from him, and told him sternly, "You don't understand. I'm going outside." Jason grabbed my hand, and he pleaded, "If you want to do this, you can, but I would do anything to keep Percy safe, even from you," and he let go, a worried embedded in his eyes.
I frowned, slightly angry and sad.
"Fine!" I yelled, and stormed out to the door. I heard Jason calling out for my name, but I pretended I couldn't hear him. Tears welled in my eyes as I made my way to Dr. Gottschalk laboratory.
"Why must you cry? Sometimes when you want something, you have to sacrifice some important things in your life," my mother often says this to me when I was young. I lost something important when I had the thing I most wanted- a pet rabbit I had always wanted to have, so that my let hamster could have some company. But, when I got home, my 5 year old hamster died, from old age. It was heartbreaking that I had to lose my hamster pet. I cried for days, but eventually got over it.
Yes, why do I have to cry? Since all of them wants to protect Percy from my harm, I should feel that I have to kill him faster. I thought.
Percy Jackson, your life is gonna end. Fast.
