*Percy*

Damn. Why does he always appear at the moment when we don't want him to? Ugh..... he is so annoying! I thought. Dr. Gottschalk stared at us with his cold icy look.

"What can we do for you, Mr Mad- face?" Jason asked flatly. Dr. Gottschalk snarled, and his eyes started to glow in a deep shade of red. Jason's eyes widened in terror, and I quickly covered his eyes, covering his vision from staring into his eyes.

"Don't look into his eyes! He inflicts terror, pain, any negative emotions!" I warned, avoiding Dr. Gottachalk's eye contact. I glanced at Dr. Gottschalk. The light faded from his eyes.

"He's smart," he complemented.

I don't want and don't need a complement from a mad scientist who poisons shapeshifters to destroy the world, I thought.

"If you are looking for the cure, give up doing it, because you'll never find it," he said smugly. I clenched my fists. He so underestimated us. He thought he is better than us? Well, we'll see who wins.

"Oh, we will." I grunted, and ran to tackle him. Jason shapeshifted into a wolf and pounced on Dr. Gottschalk, clawing him with his claws. Lyte shapeshifted into a owl and flapped around, pecking his head, body, anywhere that he can find space to poke him. I too shapeshifted into a wolf and gnarled my teeth at him. Dr. Gottschalk struggled but to no avail. After a while, I realized that he wasn't struggling anymore. Instead, his veins on his neck began to throb, turning green. His arms became bigger, and thicker with muscles. His coat was ripped, and tossed aside. He flicked all three of us aside, as if we were just flies to him. I hit the wall, and transformed back to a human. Pain filled my entire body, but I didn't care. My vision went blurry, and saw a ten foot giant standing in front of us. I shook my head hard, trying to focus. It was then realization hit me hard- he is a giant. The one that looks like Gaia's children.

"Gaia not only gave birth to two giants, kid. She gave birth to many." He snarled. Jason and Lyte staggered backwards, suddenly frightened.

"So what? You smelly, pus-faced giants are still going down! You killed my friend! And you stupid clumsy giants will pay for what you've done!" I yelled, and charged at him, my sword in my hand. I jabbed my sword on his thigh, causing blue blood to pour out. He rumbled in pain, and bent down to grab me. But my reflexes are swift. I rolled aside, and went behind him, stabbing my sword at the back of his thigh. He bellowed, and trust me, he is like wailing like a big baby. The sound is music to my ears. Just kidding. But he still didn't die. How? And why?

"I can't be killed! And you wouldn't know how to kill me!" He roared.

Percy! I know how to kill him! Lyte said in my head while flapping around Dr. Gottschalk, pecking his head.

"How?"I asked.

Giants can only be killed when they are killed by steel or silver things! The knowledgeable owl told me. I rolled aside to avoid getting squashed by Dr. Gottschalk.

Silver. Steel. I scanned the place and saw a steel knife lying on a table. Just my luck. I grabbed the glinting knife and charged towards Dr. Gottschalk. (For your info, if you are wondering why my sword can't kill giants, because my sword is made up of half bronze half gold, which gods can only be killed with.)

"No, no, no!" The giant shrieked and before he could turn and run away, I jumped as high as i could and stabbed him on the stomach. He bellowed in pain and anger, shrank in back into a human, only with his smiley faced underwear on. I collapsed onto the floor, breathing hard. Lyte giggled, and sat down beside me, heaving. Jason scrambled to use the knife to amputate his hand, and gave us a disgusted look.

Blood trickled down from the amputated wrist, and down Jason's arm. He wiped the blood off, sticking out his tongue. Lyte giggled.

"You know, you look cute when you do that," teased Lyte. Jason locked eyes with her and grinned. For a while, Jason kept staring at her, until Leo snatched Dr. Gottschalk's hand from him and placed his thumb on the sensor.

"This better work," grumbled Leo. A single beep sounded, and we held our breath. The doors opened, revealing a wide varietyof different types of tubes containing liquids of different colours.

"So......how are we going to find the cure?" Leo folded his arms.

"It's not there anymore." A girl said behind us.

Thalia.
