We marched our way to Uncle Tommy's house, while talking among ourselves. We introduced one another and also got to know each other's pasts. It turned out that most of us are orphans, or being thrown out of the house, or they ran away from home.
Lyte told me that she was being thrown out of the house because she always creates trouble for the family. She has the power to lift things. But her parents don't know. Once she was bored and wanted to try out her newly found skill - so she started off by lifting vases but accidentally broke four priceless vases in a day, and her mother got so angry until she chased Lyte out of the house, and told her - never to come back.
"So I wandered around, finding shelter, and food. One day I passed by some friends around my age and I talked to them, and so they told me that their parents didn't want them in their house anymore, so they chased them out of the house. We became close friends, and did everything together. Until....." she took a shaky breath before saying, " until one of our friends died, the same way like how Luke died. There's this monster....he - he chased us around the town area, but I think the mundanes saw the monster as some kind of harmless animal, because none of them helped us out. We didn't have any weapons with us, so we kept running but my friend tripped and sprained his ankle - then the monster...." she broke off and sobbed. I put my arms around her shoulder and pulled her closer, comforting her, and I said, "Well, you just have to forget about the past, and focus on the future. I know it's hard to, but we have to fight our way through, ok?" She nodded slightly, wiping away her tears.

"Here we are! Thalia stopped and announced."How am I supposed to explain..." she took several deep breaths, pressing the depression rising in her. Jason patted her back.
"I'm going in with you." He said, and he took her hand and told the others to stay here, and went into the house.
"Lyte, I have to explain to Uncle Tommy what happened," I said. "You...wanna come?" She shook her head and said, "No thanks, I'll stay here." And I walked into Uncle Tommy's house, bracing for myself on what's to come.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~"What?! Gaia killed Luke?" Uncle Tommy exclaimed in shock and pain.
"I'm so sorry, uncle Tommy, I can ex-"
"No. Get. Out. Now." Uncle Tommy's eyes flared with fury. I got up and dragged my feet out of the door.
Thalia turned to Grandpa Tommy and said,"Grandpa, is not his fault, don't blame him. He's trying to overcome this. He's already having a hard time."
Grandpa took a deep breath."I know, it's just, I love Luke, he's my only grandson. I can't bear to lose you when he's gone." He put his hands on my shoulder.
"I'm worried,"
I pushed his hands away and said, "Grandpa, I assure you I'll be fine. Old people shouldn't worry so much about us. Just stay happy and healthy. Ok?" Grandpa nodded.
"Good Grandpa. I love you," and Thalia kissed on his cheek.
"I love you too, Thalia." And I walked out of the house, and paused halfway.
"By the way, Grandpa, can you help us build a camp?"
He smiled.
"No problem, darling,"
