I wasn’t sure who that person was. I hope it was Sean, hope that he believed me that I was innocent all along.

“Where’s she?” he asked to the police desk, referring to me.

I paused to listen to them for a while. Leighton was listening too at the conversation meters from here. After a few minutes, rushing footsteps came nearer to where I was. And when he was finally in sight, there was a glint of hope in my heart.

Sean came here to save me. He must have believed me by now, that I wasn’t the one who did the crime.

“Sean…” I whispered.

Leighton pressed the four-number code of the prison cell and the steel gate propped open.       “You’re free.” he said coldly.

I went out and stood in front of Sean.

“Thanks, but this is too much.” I said.

“Don’t thank me. You really deserve this. I believe you right from the start you know.” he responded and grinned at me.

We didn’t notice Leighton was watching us.

“Hey, can you please get out of here? You’re both noisy.”

Sean and I then went out and decided to talk outside. He leaned at his big, white motorcycle while I stood in front of him.

“Give me your sandals.” he ordered.

I was confused. What would he do to them?

I followed him with a bit of hesitation.

He opened the heels and shut the tracker down. He returned it to me and flashed his smile.

“If you want to know why I did it, it’s because we need to hide from Sandra. We’re going out today.” he said while I wore my sandals.

That made me stop what I was doing.

We’re going…out?

“Huh?” I asked him. I just want to clarify what he said.

“I said, we’re going out. I’m asking you for a date.”

What? A date?

Wow…that would be fine. And nice too.

“Sure.” I answered reluctantly.

He brought his small, dress-changer machine. He focused it on me and my uniform changed into a pink, knee-length cotton dress. A long pink ribbon slung on my right arm. I looked at my sandals. Even the two of them changed from white to pink. I used the ribbon to tie my hair into a ponytail.

“Do I look beautiful?” I asked him.

“Yes.” He smiled and rode on his motorcycle.

“Come on, let’s go now.”

I rode on its back and we sped through the busy streets.

I wanted to thank Sean for the freedom that he gave me. Not only that. I wanted to thank him for the trust that he chose to believe me over the real suspect. I smiled to myself as I thought of that. I just couldn’t believe those things just happened to me now. I felt some sort of bizarre, and guilty within myself. I had nothing to do for him in return.

We had the whole day together. We had joy ride all over the city, eat the foods that we love and buy everything we like. Happy…was one word I could ever describe. I grabbed this moment because I know this will not happen again.
