*Kylo Ren's pov

As we walk in, I'm beyond nervous

I'm breathing is fast and I keep on clenching and unclenching his hands.

The second that the doors open, all conversation comes to a stand still.

I slightly nod at them in a shy hello, and Rey pushes me over into line. She first hands me a tray, which I set on my lap, and then grabs one for herself.

The room is still deadly quite.

We move quitly through line, grabbing some of the food options. A ham sandwich, a cup of milk and three baby carrots.

I hold both of the trays as she wheels me to a table in the back.

When we finally get there, some stupid being has the nerve to shout.

"Hay, Kylo Ren! How is life with the First Order?" the voice says. "Or did they kick you out as well."

I duck my head and people snicker.

Rey shoots up. "You know what? He wasn't kicked out and turned for revenge, like all your little stories say," she yells at the man. I've never seen her this way. "He chose to leave after all his classmates would pick on him and beat him up because they knew he was more powerful than them and they were jealous." I squeeze my eyes shut and tug on her arm trying to get her to stop and sit down. She doesn't take the hint. "In fact by the time that they were done bullying him for the day, he was a bloody pulp." she was angry now. "He left for help. No one but a seven year old girl would help him but she couldn't stop the bullies. And she knew she couldn't. Snoke started coming to him in his dreams offering refuge from the bullies and that's what he chose after Luke wouldn't do anything." she was fuming. "You know what? He saved my life yesterday. So next time you want to judge someone, look at their past, define why, and then look at their reasons, you big jerk."

The guy looks away ashamed and she sits down with a humph.

The ex-storm trooper across the table says "Awkward." and just like that, conversation filled the room again.

I stare at my food and poke at the sandwich with the carrot.

"So, Ben," the other guy says, from across the table. "How's you lungs?"

I try to shrug but then flinch and resume my previous position.

"Ben eat up," Rey says after about ten minutes "you are going to need it. Plus docs orders." she smiles.

I silently just shake my head.

"Why not?"

"I- I just feel- kinda weird doing it." I say quitly "I'm taking for my benefit, the food of the people I was trying to destroy not a week ago. I just feel a little guilty or something I guess."

She gives me a sympathetic smile and takes my right hand in her delicate left one. "It's okay, go ahead and eat it."

I shake my head again.

"If you won't do it for yourself, then do it for me."

I give her a sad look but take a bite of one of the carrots.

She smiles.

"So Rey," the traitor says "How was the first order?"

"It actually wasn't that bad. Although I know it just the treatment I was getting-" she squeezed my hand "-but it wasn't all that bad!"

"Mhhhh," Finn's friend said "How do you know?"

"Well, Poe, I have someone here next to me that can explain things to you." she looks expectantly at me.

I sigh "The first Order was harsh. The troopers were expendable because we had so many, so as you can probably tell, they didn't have the best lifestyle." Finn nods "There were people who did get good lifes, such as General Hux. He's Snokes puppet." I scowl.

"So," Finn asked "Did you get good living conditions?"

I laugh "Not even close."

"But I thought that all the commanders had big personal rooms with everything they could want at their finger tips. All they had to do was ask. And then they could prance around for the day giving orders and making the rest of us fear you."

I not. "You got the first part right. We had big rooms and almost everything we could wish for, but we- or at least I- didn't get as lenient punishments. Were as you guys were thrown in prison for a day or two, I was beaten to pulp, and expected to keep doing things the way that we had before with the acception of Snokes new orders."

"Is that were that blue bruise on your cheek came from?"

I nod.

Rey stands up all done with her food. "Let's go, Ben. Keep the food so you can eat it in your room."

I nod and do what she tells me. And she begins pushing me towards the doors.

"Hay Ben!" I turn just enough to see it was Poe who had spoken. "if you want, we're going to be having a game night tonight. You're welcome to come!"

I smile "Alright, thanks."

Rey pushes me back to my room.

---

'Kay, I know that this one is crappy, but I needed a way to introduce Ben to Finn and Poe and about the rest of the resistance. So you're welcome.

And I won't be able to update as often because of school (I had the last five chapters written last Monday) but I will try to continue with my original promis of two to three days.

Byeeeee!
