Chapter 23: Hospital

Heather's POV

When we got to the hospital, Steven turned off the car and opened the door and helped me out. I was trying to breathe despite all the blood I was losing.

I looked up at Steven. "I feel dizzy.." I said with a breath.

Steven looked scared. "Just hold on.."

Just as we walked inside the hospital lobby, everything went black.

Steven's POV

I started to panic when Heather wasnt moving.

"I NEED A NURSE NOW! My girlfriend blacked out." I yelled.

A nurse came up to me and calmed me down. She picked up Heather and put her on a gurney that had just pulled up beside her by another nurse.

"She will be okay, I promise sir" the nurse said to me as they wheeled her away. I clutched my chest to try to breathe. I felt a tear escape. I couldn't lose her.

Heather's POV

3 hours later

My eyes slowly fluttered open. For a second I didn't know where I was, but then, looking around, I noticed the IV stuck into my arm. I felt a sharp pain in my stomach and my face hurt.

"They said you had two broken ribs, but that's the most serious. Your face is just bruised." I heard a voice say from the chairs in my hospital room. I only knew it was Steven's.

I sat up a little as he came up closer to me to gently caress my face.

I could tell he had been crying.

"I'm going to be okay baby" I said to him.

He smiled a little. "I know Heather. I Was just so fucking scared. I thought I really lost you." He took a breath.

I pulled his chin down and kissed him.

"This should be a sign that I'm feeling better." I smirked seductively.

He smiled that sexy smile. "That's the stuff."

I laughed, but then I got serious. "So, what's going to happen to Jason?" I asked Steven.

Steven sighed. "He's going to jail. For assault and stalking. They also forced his signature on the restraining order. They did everything possible to make sure he doesn't hurt you again."

I pulled Steven down so that we were cuddling in my bed. I gripped his hand.

"Good."

Steven smiled up at me. "Oh yeah babe, you can get out of here in a couple days. But you have to take it easy. Know what that means?"

I laughed. "What does it mean?"

Steven smirked sexily. "I get to take care of you."

I kissed him really passionately for a long minute. "That's gonna be fun." I replied.
