Chapter 6: Best Friend Day

I opened my eyes the next morning and sat up. I smiled with thoughts of last night. That was the best date I've ever been on. Never mind the fact that it was Steven Tyler. He treated me like a goddess, and I think I'm falling for him but I'm really scared to open up to another guy. Last time I let my guard down, fists went up.

I got out of bed and went into the bathroom. Looking in the mirror I noticed I had on my date outfit still. I giggled to myself.

I walked out to my closet and changed into a decent pair of jeans and Tshirt. Just as I finished, my phone rang.

"Hey Court" I said answering.

"Hey girl! We still on for this morning?"

"Yeah bitch! I'm waiting come over."

"On my way." She replied hanging up.

I couldn't wait to tell her about my date with Steven.

When Court arrived a few minutes later I greeted her with a hug.

"Someone's had a little too much coffee" she laughed.

"Wellll I do work in a coffee shop skank" I laughed in reply.

She grabbed my arm and pulled me down onto the couch.

"So???!"

I looked at her. "So, what?"

"Tell me about your date with the rock god dumbass!!" She exclaimed.

I giggled. "Oh yeah."

"Well, he took me to this really nice restaurant and we talked a little. He asked me why I came out here and I told him I wanted to escape my old life."

Court looked at me, eyes wide. "What did you tell him Heather!?"

"I told him the truth. I told him that I left because of Jason."

She was in shock. "And?? What did he say?!"

"We didn't get to finish because we had to leave. But then he took me to the beach and we cuddled and then he brought it up again. So I told him the story about Jason, what he did."

Courtney looked at me with a serious face. "And? Was he okay with it??"

"Yeah he was. He said he wouldn't ever let anything happen to me, and that he wanted to be my boyfriend."

Courtney let out a huge yelp of happiness. "WHAT? What the fuck?! He said that oh my gawd, what did you say?"

"I told him I wanted to take it slow and he agreed."

Court gave me a sarcastic look. "Wow bro. Why don't you just rip the guys heart out?!"

"Courtney!! He was okay with it. And so am I. So be happy for me bitch!!" I laughed.

She grabbed my hands. "Of course I'm happy for you, but Jesus, you need to make that delicious piece of ass yours, make it official!!"

"We will we will. When the times right!" I smiled.

I looked at the clock. It was already 2 o clock.

"Court we can talk about this later but I have work in an hour and I gotta get ready."

"Okay.." She sighed.

"It's okay court because depending on what is going on, how bout I ask Steven if you can come with us where we go tonight? I'm sure one of the band mates would be your date!"

Courts smile widened. "Hell yeah bitch I'm in!! Call me when you get off work!"

"I will Court bye now" I said pushing her out the door.

"You're still a lucky bitch!!!" She called.

I rolled my eyes and laughed. She's crazy, but I love her.

I walked into my bedroom, stripped off my Tshirt and put on my work shirt. Woohoo. Only 5 hours of work tonight and then I'm free to be with Steven. I grabbed my bag and walked out, ready to make my way to work to get out of it quicker.
