Chapter 44: I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing

Steven kissed me as we made our way into the reception part of the beach.

"Mrs. Tyler, you're looking quite beautiful" Steven said, smiling.

I laughed. "You're not so bad yourself."

Music started playing, and the dj started to speak.

"I would like to introduce the entertainment for tonight, ladies and gentlemen, Aerosmith!!"

I looked at Steven. "You're performing?"

Steven winked. "Might as well save money."

And then he made his way up onto the stage, and got into I Don't wanna miss a thing.

As he got to our favorite part: "I don't wanna close my eyes, don't wanna fall asleep, cuz I miss you babe, and I don't wanna miss a thing.."

I started to tear up. This was perfect.

About three hours later, people were enjoying themselves, dancing, eating and drinking.

And me and Steven were dancing together.

"You know I really love you?" I whispered.

He smiled that smile. "Yes and I love you."

Just then, Courtney cut in.

"Congratulations guys!"

Joe was next to her smiling. "Congrats guys, I hope you're really happy."

I smiled and hugged him. "Happier than ill ever be."

When they left, and before Steven and I could get back to dancing, my mom and dad replaced them.

My mom pulled me in for a hug. "Congratulations honey! I hope you guys have a great honeymoon and start your life together! I'm so happy for you."

I smiled. "Thanks Mom."

My dad spoke up. "Congratulations dear I love you. Enjoy your life together. And don't forget to come visit."

I hugged him. "Thanks Dad, I love you guys too."

After they left, Steven pulled me close again.

"I am the happiest person in this world right about now." I said, kissing Steven.

"That makes two of us. I love you"

"I love you too."

And as we were dancing, and I was looking around at my friends, my family, and my beautiful kids, I knew I truly did love him. I am free. Free to fly away, with Steven by my side.
