Synopsis: This is the fan fiction couple that has a lot of people split down the middle. Similar to Taigress, some people diss the ship for the simple reason that they consider Tigress and Shifu to be more like father and daughter than...well, a couple. On the other hand, those who do ship this couple ship it hard! And when we say they'll come at the throats of anyone who disses this ship, we're being serious. The MST ship most likely came around following the first film. (Like so many ships have. Kind of). Over the course of eight years, it's slowly developed a strong fan base, especially following the release of "Legends of Awesomeness", landing it at the bottom of the popular ranks where it beat out the PS rank for the fifth spot. With Tigress' supposed crush on Shifu as a teenager (mentioned in Jail House Panda) having once existed, it would of course put the two in both categories despite never actually getting together. However, for those who consider Legends of Awesomeness to be non-canon, this is left up to their own discretion.

My Opinion: I...HATE...this ship! I don't mean to offend Shigress shippers out there because your opinion is your opinion, but this ship really bothers me! I cannot see this at all! It's not the age difference or the height difference, in case you try to yell at me and accuse me of that; I just don't like them together. To me, they're daddy and daughter with a seriously broken bond that needs to be patched up. So, the simple idea of this ship even existing under that context makes me feel a bit ill. I apologize, but...I'm not apologizing for hating this ship!
