Chapter 16

Kitana's Pov

Ok so Kyle and I and walking to the Academy because Lord Death wants to see me. Oh yeah Soul and Maka collected all the souls than Soul ate a cats soul they rebounded well I am so proud of them even though I am not related to them..... yeah moving on. Kid just started at the Academy even though he doesn't need to he knows what he needs to. I still make Kyle walk up the stairs and am still the same only one question. Kyle would be like 50 how has he not aged at all since our wedding? We reach the top of the stairs and walk to the Death room. "Kyle can I talk to you for a moment?" Spirit asked as we reached the door. 

"Yeah Spirit sure I'll meet you in there Lady death." Kyle said and I nodded before walking down the hall away from me I sighed lightly and walked into the death room.

"Phoenix, you can take your mask off it's just us!" Kid called and I heard the door lock behind me not good. I left my mask on and drew two spare pins I know I have the daggers but the pins sit behind my fingers perfectly. I slowly walked towards the centre of the room and saw Kid standing there alone. Why did he use my middle name? I could sense Liz and Patty around him so he had them in weapon form behind his back. 

"Reaper chop!" Lord Death called behind me and my mask fell off but I stood up and jumped away from him when Kid opened fire trying to shoot me. I twisted and dodged his attacks Lord Death appeared beside me and grabbed my belt off me leaving my with only my pins I moved further away. Why are they attacking me? I moved as fast as possible and got in range of kid and got him in the shoulders with two pins. Patty transformed back and started shooting at me with Liz one gun was easier to avoid than two. Death hit my in the face breaking my nose and he pinned me down long enough to chain my arms behind me before I threw him off and took down Patty who was still shooting me and getting me in the face. I wrapped my legs around her neck and waited for her to pass out and I kicked Liz out when she transformed back leaving me with Lord Death. My eye was swollen shut from Patty getting me and my arm was broken cause I broke it getting away from death when he pinned me down. I tapped the ground with the toe of my heeled boots changing the heel from wood to daggers and ran towards him going on the offensive and I slashed at him with my heels. I heard the door break and Kyle came running in his nose also broken Spirit nowhere in sight. Death quickly reaper chopped me three times and I could no longer walk straight he hit me again and swept my legs out from under me causing me to land on my stomach and he sat on my back. "Why are you attacking Death?" I asked panting.

"I have a new assignment for you and we need to to look like you were in a major fight before you take it on." He said taking one of my daggers and cutting my arms on the outside of the forearm and front of my upper arm. 

"Death stop you'll kill her." Kyle called trying to get closer but Liz had come to and was holding him back how pathetic Kyle you could easily break that hold. I assault on my body stopped and Death let me up before he walked over to Kid and took the pins out of his shoulders  and gave him some of the potion from my belt my arms burning. I made my pins, daggers and bullets from the same material metal infused with soul threads. 

"Hey give me some of that Death I am not fond of the burning pain." I said slowly walking over to Kyle who quickly cut the chain holding my wrists together. Death handed me my belt and I drank one of the potions my arms had stopped bleeding just after I stood up black scabs were covering the marks. 

Kyle's Pov (from when he left Kitana)

"What do you want to talk about Spirit?" I asked as we walked down the hall and into a spare room which was very dark. The door locked behind me and Stein hit me with his soul. I stood up Spirit was already in Stein's hand.
