Chapter 32

Kitana's Pov

"Class we have a new self defence teacher today. Everyone please welcome Professor Phoenix he will be your new teacher as of today." Nigas said watching us as many looked at Rivalle and then me and back.

"Yes Kitana and I are related, I am her older brother." Rivalle said reading the faces of the class.

"Sir why is your hair two colours?" One of the kids asked I don't know who.

"Because I am part Grim reaper like Kitana was until she lowered herself and handed herself over to them." He answered catching the book I threw at him.

"Yes because getting arrested is the same as handing your self over." I remarked. "Asked anyone my eyes were blue till I sacrificed myself to save Kasie and make sure she was protected even if she was with the reapers."

"At least your a female Reaper. Lady Phoenix will be glad to hear it." He sighed making people look at me like I'm weird.

"Female Grim reapers represent life and re-birthing. The Phoenix clan approve of female grim reapers but not males since we are know for going on blind rampages and killing entire villages. Men take and only take. Women give and nurture." Kid explained as if it was nothing. 

"How do you know that?" Maka asked tilting her head to the side.

"His older sister is the sister to the head of the Phoenix clan. Lady Phoenix and Lady Death are twins. One is a Weapon the other isn't. Both kill. Both give life and protect." I said with a shrug.

"So wait you and Kid are related?" One of the kids asked he had glasses on but I don't know hist name.

"Yes we are very distant relatives. Now stop stalling I want to know how your training is going so show me what you can do." Rivalle said watching the students. 

"Why are half of us even here? Weapons don't need to fight like Meisters." Soul asked making Rivalle smirk.

"Blondie move over and let the albino boy see why." He smirked making everyone move away from Soul. "Think fast." Rivalle said flinging his now sickle shaped arm at Soul and catching him. 

"Soul you need to know how to protect your self and your Meister." I sighed grabbing Rivalles chain making him release Soul. "What if you and Maka were separated? How will you fend for yourself? Could you protect Maka if she got hurt and couldn't wield you? Frankly the way I see it. You all have the opportunity to learn from not only a skilled warrior but a killed weapon who is also classed as a Death Scythe not that he answers to Lord Death." 

"No I only answer to Lady Phoenix and Lord Phoenix." Rivalle said turning his arm back to normal. "Right ok everyone stop stalling get to work. Kitana you and the Reaper boy will be fighting sound fair? Everyone else fight your weapons or a friend. The only way you fail this class is if you die, since you will die in battle before you can graduate." He ordered and we went our separate ways. He watched the students fight as Kid and I warmed up and started with some basic exercises. I still held back Kid still wasn't strong enough to take a full blow from me. We fought for a while just him keeping up with me this wasn't a real fight so it didn't drain us like one. Class was nearly over till Rivalle's boot came into contact with my ribs making me fly half way across the room. I turned myself landing the tips of my toes and fingers before I stood up.

"What was that for Brother?!" I spat walking back to him.

"Stop holding back. You would never dream of taking it easy on me." He retorted making me growl as I went to attack him. I had to lose this fight I let my anger and adrenaline take control and Rivalle knew this. We fought for about ten minutes which is harder than it sounds till he got me down both of us panting hard. "There we go but you let your emotions get in the way and Adrenaline is your worst enemy in a fight but good try little sister." He panted getting up before he retied his long black and white hair back up. Black on the top white underneath. 

"Are you two part tank or something?" Someone asked.

"Please that wasn't a serious fight. Kit was just using me to vent." Rivalle laughed whilst I stayed plain faced when the door opened and Kasie walked in followed by Kyle. 

"Sorry for interrupting but Lady Death needs me in Europe. I have to go right now and no one else can watch Kasie so she had to stay here with you Rivalle." He explained and Rivalle nodded before he picked Kasie up holding her with one arm.

"Professor. When was the last time before the other day the three of you were together?" Tsubaki asked and Kasie and Rivalle started laughing making me smile lightly.

"Never. Kitana and I haven't seen each other in seven years and Kasie is five." Rivalle said with a chuckle in his voice.

"The clan believed it was better for us to know our siblings as siblings but not keep us together at all." I shrugged. "I haven't seen our mother since I was ten when Kasie was born."

"Yeah I never got that but you can't argue with the elders even Lady Phoenix is rarely heard but for the past 30 years she has been in deep undercover work so we forgive her." Rivalle said and I nodded.

"Yeah the four of us have never been in the same room." I sighed with a light smile.

"Four? Do you have another sibling?" Liz asked and Rivalle coughed.

"Um we did Ezekiel died a few months ago." He said slowly putting Kasie down.

"How hard is it to tell me this outside the class room?!" I roared. "You have been here for two weeks and not even a hey Kit, Zeek died sorry we didn't tell you I thought you were dead!!"

"Yeah I hear you but I never got the  chance but he died happy. He passed away after reading a letter in Cantonese and he said that he was so happy and he would tell me about the letter when he woke up but he never did." He sighed rubbing the back of his neck. "Anyway class dismissed everyone off you go." 

"I sent that letter to him. Zeek was 10 years old Rav. How could the clan let him die?" I asked and he sighed.

"Poisoned by our uncle who was trying to poison me. It didn't work. The elders were happy though Zeek was not Phoenix material as they put it. I broke a couple noses and a few ribs at the comment." He said and I nodded. 

"Good. Family first Rav. That is what Lady Phoenix said. That is what our father said. It is what I say. Stay here till I graduate then we will go back and over throw the elders." I smirked and so do Rivalle. 

"Whay wasn't your brother Phoenix material?" Someone asked.

"He was born missing both legs. The elders said that it was because our uncle was jealous but still Kitana and I had to push ourselves harder that get them off Ezekiel's back." Rivalle answered before resuming his stone like expression. "Now everyone go home or you can stay and fight me till you drop." He snapped and everyone ran off except Kid, Kasie and myself.

"Nicely done Jr." I smirked and he pouted.

"I'm not a teacher Lady Phoenix."He pouted and I hit him upside the head.

"My name is Kitana. Not Lady Phoenix." I snapped and he nodded knowing what it really meant. If anyone heard that I was Lady Phoenix my cover would be blown. I could call him Junior and we would just say that our father was called Rivalle. I could also tell that he was having way too much fun with his current roll. We then walked home and went and did our own things. Rivalle and I went and did paper work and contacted the European Phoenix's giving our orders. Kid had homework to do as did Liz and Patty. Kasie went and ran my training course which played nice with her making it easier for her than it does for me. Kyle was packing his bags and luggage since he did actually have to go to Europe to help out. Aileen had asked for help and she was currently running the clan. Making the snap decisions whilst we weren't there. She was Rivalle's cousin who is 23 years old but Rivalle is the next head should I die because he is showing the mark of a reaper. Who made these rules? It sure as hell wasn't me that's for sure. I swear it's harder to be Rivalle than it is to be me. He has to be the picture perfect heir. Strong, battle ready, kind, caring, deadly, the perfect assassin, politically correct, the perfect balance of fighter and thinker. Hard life man I do not pity you.
