Chapter 52

Kid's Pov

We all walked out of Kit's room not long after she left and went to the kitchen to find she wasn't there so I walked outside to see her floating in the pool. "You know having the bandages on defeats the purpose of cooling down and they weigh you down." I said watching my sister glide along the top of the pool slowly belly up.

"I really don't care right now." She said sweeping her arms to stop her movement.

"I thought you were hungry." I sighed and she just paddled her way across the water. 

"You need to eat sister." Rav said walking out with almost everyone Kasie and Mikasa had probably run off to play.

"I can eat later." She said flipping herself over and swimming over to us slowly. 

"I know how fast you metabolism is Kitana. Eren, Rav and I just finished two roast chickens and we are still hungry. You only took a small amount of food to school and you need to build up your fat stores and eat more protein to help you heal." Levi said squatting down at the edge of the pool as Kitana got closer.

"I wanted to cool down first Uncle. Did you find Hanji?" She asked gripping the edge with her good hand pulling her feet beneath her so it looked as if she were standing.

"I made Confit duck for you. Rav said you like it and no I didn't. She found Eren thought he was going to kill me." Levi said tucking a wet strand behind my sisters ear.

"Your sister is terrifying though Levi. Thank Phoenix you were there." Eren said behind me before I heard a splashing sound and saw Eren appear beside Kitana as he came up for air. 

"So Hanji is here?" Kit asked and Levi shook his head.

"She will be back in a week they are following a lead on Armin." He explained before holding out his hand which Kit looked at frowning. "You'll catch your death in there come on Kitana." He said and Kit sighed before taking his hand and climbing out and walking inside to change.

"You know two whole chickens across three guys is still a lot of meat. Why are you eating so much?" Maka asked frowning and Rav, Levi and Eren looked at each other before answering.

"It's apart of the ash trail and our abilities with fire." Rav shrugged.

"For Humans to gain something  of equal value must be lost. It's a law of alchemy for us to start fire and use fire we have to lose something in return." Levi continued as Eren pulled himself out of the water and I noticed he wasn't wearing a shirt or pants.

"For us we lose body fat and if there is no fat muscle. It's part of the reason we stay so lean but it isn't just when we start the ash trail that the tax is taken it's constant from the first time we use the trail properly. The tax of fat and energy is greater when we transport people even when we transport ourselves." Eren explained as he used his shirt as a towel. 

"It's part of the reason why we took two weeks to come back I wouldn't let Kitana use the trail and I had to eat enough to support the trip back without losing any muscle since it's harder to get back." Rav said running a hand through his hair. "I was promised duck is that dinner?" 

"Hmm oh yes and I made enough for everyone since I wanted to make sure you guys had some stuff you would eat if you didn't have time to make a meal." Levi said watching Eren waving off the question. "I suppose that I should put the potatoes on and the other vegetables." 

"I'll get changed then come help you. Rav do you want to check that Kit is ok and her dressings are changed properly." Eren said and Rav nodded before leaving with Levi following. "Girls if you could stop staring that would be lovely since my husband is near by." He said without looking and I turned seeing Liz, Maka and Tsubaki blushing before looking away as Eren walked away leaving my friends and I.
