Sorry for not updating lately. My sister has just had a baby, so I've been spending loads of my free time with her.

Mia's POV.

Something was off. I hadn't seen the boys at all today. I usually see them every day, but since Michael got that mysterious phone call yesterday, I haven't seen them. Not being woken up by rowdy boys banging on my door at stupid o'clock in the morning just didn't seem right.

It was now half eleven the next day and I hadn't received so much as a text, which surprises me because Michael normally likes to text me in the morning to tell me he has 'morning wood'. Sometimes I think that Michael thinks I'm one of the lads.

So instead of wondering where the boys have gotten to, Me and Whitney had decided that we were going to spend the day together today getting our nails done and doing some shopping. I think we are in need of some girl time.

Whitney and I had been wondering around the shopping centre for a while now, looking for a nail shop, until we found one that looked like a princess could live in it. Everything was white and fluffy.  There was even a statue of a little pug in the window; the main reason I wanted to go in there to be honest.

I never usually get my nails done; I'm not that into girly things like that. So instead of going for something like Whitney and have bright pink with a bow on the ring finger, I opted for a simple French tip, just to keep it simple.

Whilst we were getting our nails done, we planned where we were going to go next. I need another pair of Converse, so we would defiantly be needing to go into JD.  Whitney claims that she needs some more jeans, even though she has about fifty pairs, so no doubt we will be headed to New Look too, although I will probably end up buying some myself.

It was half twelve when we started heading out of the nail shop and towards the other shops in shopping centre.

"I wonder where the boys are, I haven't seen them since yesterday afternoon" I opened the door to the shopping centre, allowing Whitney to walk in first.

"I saw them behind the football courts last night on my way back to ours. They looked like they were in a heated discussion so I didn't want to interrupt" Whitney informed me.

"Hmm, I wonder what's going on with them. Michael left pretty quickly yesterday after his phone call. Maybe it had something to do with that" I wondered out loud.

"Maybe it was one of the boys that called him" she suggested.

"I don't think so; he took the call into the bathroom. He never normally does that when the boys call him" I told her. Something isn't adding up.

"I don't know Mia and I don't really care. If they wanted us to know what was going on they would have told us" Whitney was always straight to the point, that's one thing I loved about her. I suppose she is right though. I know Michael would tell me anything.

We continued to shop around for a bit. I ended up buying my Converse,  two new band t-shirts and a pair of ripped skinny jeans and Whitney brought three dresses, four t-shirts and a pair of heels. We were just walking into the music store, HMV, when I heard a familiar laugh. I looked at Whitney to see if she had heard it too, but she was too busy looking at the new One Direction album.

I walked towards the laugh and was greeted by the four boys I hadn't seen in 24 hours. They were looking at something on Michael's phone and laughing about it. I coughed to get their attention, making them swiftly turn around.

"Oh, Mimo" Michael said, quickly putting his phone in his pocket.

"Where the hell have you guys been? I'm normally see you every second of the day" I asked, raising my hands in the air.

"We were just hanging out with each other. You know, spending some bro time?" Calum nervously laughed.

"Whit said she saw you behind the football courts"

"Yeah, just you know, smoking weed and that, getting drunk" Calum once again laughed nervously.

I knew they weren't telling me what they were really doing but I decided I would let it go.

"Okay." I drew out the vowels, letting them know I don't completely buy what they are telling me. I decided to let it go for now, "Do you guys want to come back to ours?" I asked, walking off to find Whitney, who was in the queue, the boys following me.

"Sure, I love cuddling with you" Michael grabbed my hand and entwined our fingers together.

"I love cuddling with you too" I lent up and kissed his check. I glanced at Luke to see him once again staring at us with his jaw clenched. I smirked and raised an eyebrow, showing that I was right about him staring and being jealous.

We continued to stare at each other, neither one of us braking eye contact. His blue eyes pierced into mine with such intensity, that I was scared I was going to explode. The look on his face gave me butterflies in my stomach and caused my heart to skip a beat. I didn't want to look away and let Luke think he had won, but I don't know if I could look at him much longer without wanting to pounce on him. Luckily Whitney turned up in front of me, having finished in the queue, waving her bag in my face.

"I got the new 1D album. We need to go home so I can play it" Whitney squealed in excitement.

"Okay, come on girl" I started heading towards the exit, my hand still in Michael's. I rubbed my thumb over his knuckles only to feel that the skin was kind of rough. I lifted Michael's hand to see that he had a cut on each of his knuckles. I looked up at him with a questioning look.

"What happened to your hand?" I asked him.

"Oh, um, I punched a wall when I was high last night" he chuckled.

"Why would you do that?" I laughed along with him.

"I don't know. Maybe I thought it was Luke's face" he laughed, shooting a smirk at Luke.

"Michael, leave him alone" I giggled.

I know I should trust Michael, but I feel like he's hiding something from me and I really want to find out what. He got that cut somehow and I know it wasn't anything to do with punching a wall. A face, I could believe though.

I looked behind me to see Calum and Whitney, once again, in deep convocation. They look really cute together; I think they would make a good couple. They seem to get on like a house on fire, able to go from silence to an in depth convocation in 0.2 seconds.

I felt Michael's hand leave mine, causing me to turn my head towards him. He was walking off to talk to Ashton, leaving me and Luke on our own. I could see him and Ashton sharing harsh whispers, making me even more suspicious of what they were up to last night.

Once again I was met by an awkward silence between me and Luke. I took a quick glance at him, only to see him already looking at me; we didn't break eye contact again.

"Maybe we both like staring at each other" he whispered.

"Yeah, maybe"
