Mia's POV.
I have a strange feeling that Calum and Whitney didn't come back to our dorm just to hang out. Since they turned up, they have sat on Whitney's bed and shared hasty whispers and not-so-subtle touches, while Luke and I have pretended we were working on our song when really we have been writing random things to each other on notes.
Luke nudged my arm with his elbow, letting me know he had written a note for me. I took the note from his hand and scanned over it, 'what do you think them two are up to?'
Looks like Luke and I have the same thoughts swirling around our heads because I have a feeling they are up to something and the moment Luke and I leave the room that something is going to happen.
'If I had one guess, I would say they were hoping to have this place to themselves', I wrote, passing the note back to Luke. I watched Luke read the note and let out a little giggle, shaking his head.
"Hey guys," he turned so he was facing Whitney and Calum, waiting till he had their attention till he continued, "me and Mia are going to the cafe for a bit, wanna come?" He asked them. I tried to hold back a laugh because I knew what he was doing.
Whitney's face lit up, "yes, you know I love coffee." She went to get up from the bed, only to be tugged back down by Calum.
"No we don't, we've got thing to do here." Calum shot Whitney a look that told her to play along with it. Whitney looked at him strangely for a second before something must have clicked in her brain and she smiled.
"Oh yeah, we gotta do something." She winked, not so subtly at Calum. He sighed, but couldn't keep the smile from creeping its way onto his face.
Luke stood up and walked to where his shoes and bag lay dormant by the door making me do the same. "Okay, I'll probably be back in about an hour, Whit." I had to let her know how long we were going to be so I didn't walk in on anything dirty.
At that, Whitney nodded her head so fast that I thought it might fall off any minute now. I gave her a tight lipped smile, heading towards where Luke was waiting by the door.
Once we were outside the room, Luke and I looked at each other and burst out laughing.
"Did they really think they were being discrete?" Luke laughed, clutching his stomach. He did have a point; the sexual tension in that room could not be mistaken. At first I thought it was just the tension between Luke and I, but as time passed, we both realised it wasn't.
"I know. Calum couldn't keep his hands away from her." I giggled. It was true though; the whole time they were there Calum kept his hand on Whitney's thigh and kept running his fingers up and down her arm.
"Come on, let's go get some hot chocolate." Luke said once our laughter had died down. I internally smiled at his words. He remembered my favourite drink.
We headed out the dorm building and out into the cold winter air. We are honestly so stupid to come out here in nothing but a sweater and a plaid shirt. The temperature must have been in the minuses by now, considering there was only three weeks till Christmas. Speaking of...
"What are you doing for Christmas break?" I asked Luke. He seemed to be more willing to talk to me recently and acts less like a dick, so maybe I could actually get some answers out of him now.
"Probably stay here, not much back home for me." He said, but there was something about the way he said it that didn't make it believable.
"Don't you think your parents would want to see you?" He never speaks about his parents so I was a bit scared to bring them up in case he flipped out on me.
