Mia's POV.
"So it's okay for me to continue studying here until the baby comes and come back after?" I asked just to double check.
I decided that I need to sort everything out and make sure that I could still get my degree and not have to drop out. I would be really upset if I had to, but if it's what had to happen for me to have this baby, then I would.
"Yes, Miss Evans. There is a nursery in the University, which would be able to take care of your child once it is born and there are plenty of people on site that would be able to take care of you if a situation was to occur. We will allow you some time off for after the baby is born, but your classes will be online instead of at the lecture rooms." The head on the University said, flashing a reassuring smile my way.
I let out a breath of relief at the news. I'm so grateful that everyone, well most people, has been so supportive of my new situation. Now that I was able to stay at the University, I would be able to start planning my life.
According to how far along I am in my pregnancy, I should be due on 23rd October, which means I would be almost ready to drop by the time University starts back up again in September. University breaks up the middle of June and we are given some time off before our results and then we are back to lessons in the September, giving us almost three months off.
In my time off, I'm planning on making sure I have everything ready for when the baby decides to make an appearance. I need to make sure I have a mosses basket, a cot, bottles, nappies and so much more. I also may need to sort a new room because I'm not too sure that Whitney will like being woken up at three in the morning to a crying baby.
I was thinking about maybe renting a house off of campus so that way it would be somewhere that felt like a home. Little Pea would have a garden to play in and a kitchen that wasn't shared by thousands and a room of their own to sleep in. It was ideal, but there was also the worry of money.
Being a University student didn't come cheap and neither does a baby. There is no doubt in my mind that I will be able to pay for the baby, I mean, my parents still send me money every month, so that will help, but it won't be enough for a baby and a house. Maybe I should have take Luke up on his offer to help me out financially.
There are many parents out there that never give their children anything and they get slated by the world, yet Luke was willing to help and I turned him down all because I was stubborn. Even if I did want to ask Luke to help me out now, I wouldn't know how. Since I told him to leave last week, no one has seen him or heard off of him, not even Carly, who had been hanging around with us a lot lately, which was weird. To be honest, she was really nice girl and we all got on well with her.
It's strange how much things have changed in the last week. Ashton decided the was going to start sleeping in my dorm with me because Calum and Whitney were always in their room and also to try and cheer me up, Michael and Casey moved into a dorm together because, apparently, Michael didn't want to be near Luke after what he did to me and also because it was easier to have sex, and Calum and Whitney finally became official. Yes, just like everyone else, you probably thought they already were, but it wasn't on Facebook, so it wasn't official yet according to Whitney.
Things were different for me because my stomach was really starting to show now and everyone on campus kept on giving me strange looks when they saw me but I didn't care. I wasn't ashamed of my baby and I want to show it off to people. Whenever I was out with the boys, Michael or Ashton would always be toughing it and asking me if he (yes, he. They were convinced the baby was a boy) was kicking yet, to which I would tell them that it was only the size of a grape and that wouldn't be happening yet. Calum, however, wouldn't touch my belly at all. He thought it was creepy that I had a little human growing inside of me, so he would just pat my head whenever the boys were touching it, so he wasn't left out.
