Mia's POV.
"Mikey, I need your help." I said to Michael as soon as he sat down at my table in the cafe.
It was Wednesday and we had all planned on meeting in the cafe for lunch, so while I waited I thought I would catch up on some homework. We were meant to write a song based on anything we want, but I was having a bit of trouble.
"What's up, duck?" Michael chuckled, sliding me over a glass of coke. I took a sip before turning to him once again.
"I can't think of a line to put here," I pointed to said space I needed filling. "I need a line that basically says I love you but all you seem to do it hurt me."
Michael blinked at me. "Mimo, is this song gonna be 'bout Luke by any chance?"
My cheeks blushed furiously as I nodded my head. When I write a song, I want it to mean something to me, but also people who listen to it. People tend to relate to something more if it is based on true feelings and it makes me happy to know that people could hear my song and allow it to help not to feel alone. There is always someone out there who had been through a similar thing to you. Luke is all I'm feeling right now, so all my songs are going to be somehow related to him and my love for him.
"Mia, you need to move on from that dick. He doesn't deserve you anyway." Michael spoke, reaching over to hold my hand.
I knew Michael was right. Luke didn't want me so I need to start thinking about moving on and trying to get over Luke. But it's so hard when you're in love. When we're in a room together, I still find him looking at me or when I need him to back me up, he's always on my side. I know he hasn't fallen out of love with me, not yet anyway.
"Hey guys, what you talking about?" Calum questioned as he slid into the booth to the side of us, Whitney and Ashton following behind. Calum placed his arm around Whitney's shoulders once she was settled and I couldn't help but smile. They were so cute together, I need someone like that.
"Oh nothing, Mia just needs help with her music homework." Michael covered up. It wasn't a lie, I did, but that's not exactly what we were talking about at that moment. No one apart from Luke, Michael and me knew about Luke and I and now there was nothing to us, I defiantly didn't want anyone to know about us.
"I'm sure we could all help you with it. I dabble in a bit of song writing myself." Calum smiled towards me, grabbing my notebook and reading over what I've already wrote.
"He's really good too; I've seen some of them." Ashton beamed. He looked like a proud boyfriend and the thought made me let out a little laugh.
Calum blushed. "I'm not that good. I'm like an average Joe."
Ashton scoffed at Calum's comment. "Yeah right. 'Dreaming of the times I know I can't get back. Seems I just lost track.' Average Joe my ass."
"Wow Cal, you really wrote those lyrics?" Calum shyly nodded his head in response. "That's incredible. I want you to write all my songs. Why didn't you take it as your major?" I asked, a little shocked at how amazing Calum is.
Calum laughed. "Thanks, but I wanted to do sports. I want to be a professionally footballer. I doubt I will, but a boy can dream, right?"
"Cal, if you want it that badly, it will happen." I gave him a reassuring smile before turning my head towards the door when I heard it open. I knew it was Luke, but I wasn't expecting him to bring someone else with him.
I furrowed my eyebrows as Luke walked towards us, the girl following close behind. I couldn't work out in my head why Luke had brought her with him, that was until I noticed their interlocked hands and that's when my heart sank.
