Ser Jaime Lannister, Lord Commander of the Kingsguard, a lion of Lannister, felt afraid. Afraid of this girl he had met but twice, afraid of what his sister might do, afraid of this wedding. But at that moment, the Lady Daena Stormblood stepped into the hall along with King Tommen, and he had no more time to think those thoughts. He saw Queen Margaery smiling at her little king, who looked very excited as he walked Jaime's bride-to-be down the hall. Jaime had to smile a little at the boy's excitement. He looks like I did when I first kissed Cersei. And she doesn't look so bad herself. Not blonde, but there are worse issues I can think of.
Meanwhile, Lady Daena was watching her Kingslayer very carefully. I wonder what he is smiling about. And suddenly, they had reached the end of the hall. King Tommen ran off to his little queen, and Daena turned to look at her knight. Her gaze fell on his golden hand, for a moment, no more. So his hand was cut off...I hope he wasn't offended by me looking at it. She quickly smiled up at him, and the Kingslayer smiled back.
Maybe this won't be so bad, he thought, as he smiled at her. But as soon as he saw Cersei glaring from behind her, his face froze. Lady Daena made to turn around, and he quickly stopped her with his hand; he didn't want her to have to deal with that already. Tyrion would have made a joke about that. 'Wow, brother, you can't keep your hands off her; I thought only our sweet sister had that effect on you.' He shook himself a tiny bit to get Tyrion out of his head. He couldn't stop thinking about the dwarf since he had let him go and caused all the chaos that occurred. Suddenly, the time came for Jaime to put the cloak around his bride's shoulders. He stepped behind her and placed the worn, crimson and gold cloak onto her, and a feeling like none he had known before swept over him. It was almost like a mix of pride and awe. So this is what marriage feels like.
Lady Daena smiled as her new husband placed a hand on her back and led her towards the feast. Everyone looks so happy. Suddenly she felt eyes glaring at the back of her neck and turned around. Well except one person. That must be Queen Cersei. Maybe those tales I heard are more than rumors, she doesn't look very happy. She turned to whisper in Jaime's ear,"Is that your lovely sister behind us? Might we speak with her? I'd love to meet her."
"Yes, that is my sister," once my other half, he thought bitterly,"I'm sure we will speak to her soon, but we may now if you'd like to." They walked over to Queen Cersei, who put on a fake smile for show.
Daena saw right through it but she knew that Cersei Lannister was a dangerous woman so she pretended to think it was real. "It's so nice to meet you, Your Grace," she said,"I've heard so much about you and I wanted to see if it was true. I now see it is true that you are the most beautiful woman in Westeros." Now I have to see if the other things I've heard are true.
"You flatter me. We are practically sisters now; you must come have dinner with me some time." Lady Daena nodded enthusiastically and Jaime winced, which Cersei pretended not to notice. She turned to him anyway. "Hello, brother. You should come to dinner some time too. Perhaps we can continue to discuss what we spoke of earlier," she said with a mocking smirk.
"Why, sweet sister, you know that you must only ask and I shall come whenever you wish," he said, all the while glaring at her.
There is definitely something going on with them, but I won't find it out now, thought Daena. Instead, she clasped her husband's good arm and said,"Why don't we head in, my lord, they'll be wondering where we are. It was wonderful meeting you, Your Grace." And with that they walked into the feasting hall.
