Cersei woke the next morning refreshed, both from the sleep and from her new confidence in her planning. She poured herself a glass of wine while she got dressed, then walked off to the council hall nice and early. She had somebody to find.

--------------------

Jaime was putting on his armor when Daena woke up. "A little later today, I see. We'll work on it," she laughed.

He grinned at her. "How are you already able to make fun of me this early in the morning?"

"Aha! So you admit it's early?"

"That's cheating, you didn't answer the question," he laughed.

Suddenly, he was standing over Daena. Her eyes widened momentarily, then he began tickling her. She let out a gasp. "Jaime, no," she cried, laughing hysterically,"stop, no, Jaime, please."

He held her down with her back to him and whispered in her ear,"Was that a please I heard? No I must've been wrong, this is you we're talking about." He began to tickle her again.

"No, Jaime, you were right, please, stop!"

"Alright, alright," he said, stopping with a chuckle."I think this is the first time you've actually called me by my name."

"Well there was another time if I remember correctly," she said, smirking at him.

He laughed."So there was. But in conversation, no."

"What can I say? I like calling you Kingslayer."

"Well it's a good thing I like you then, isn't it?"

Daena put a hand to her heart and said sarcastically,"Wow, such high words of praise, and from a Lannister too."

He grinned. "You know you love me."

She grinned back, and pressed her lips against his.

Cersei stepped into the council hall. "Lord Baelish, just the person I was looking for. I was hoping you'd be here a little early."

"I always am, Your Grace," he replied, kissing her hand. "What can I do for you?"

She pursed her lips. "Well, I was hoping you could help me with a little issue that has come up. I couldn't help but think of it last night, after I saw you."

"You wish for help getting rid of your brother's lady wife for...personal reasons...I take it?"

"Yes...Jaime and I have always been very close...so I couldn't help but notice that she is not the right woman for him." She scowled at him. I know he's known about us for a while now, but he doesn't have to look so smug about it. She itched to slap the look off his face and storm away, but she restrained herself. I need his help, she reminded herself. "I would like you to try to steal her affections from my brother, for lack of better words."

"You want me to make the Lady Daena commit adultery against the Kingslayer?"

"Yes," she sighed. "Then I will be able to get rid of her. And, before you ask, yes, you will receive a reward. After you have succeeded. Although I would think having a reason to spend time with her would be reward enough, seeing how much she looks like the Lady Catelyn. I didn't really notice it until you mentioned it."

Baelish thought for a moment. "Alright, Your Grace, but if your brother hurts me I might be tempted to let something slip to somebody."

"I don't think you are in a position to threaten me, Lord Baelish," she said icily. "I don't have to do this, you know." She felt a warm hand on her shoulder.

"Know what, sweet sister?" She shivered. He began to rub small circles on her back with his thumb. Her face began to heat up. He knows what he's doing. "Good morning, Lord Baelish," Jaime said.

"Good morning, Ser Jaime."

"See, that's the polite thing to do. My sister here can't even say hello to her brother apparently." He pushed his thumb deeper into her back, causing her to shudder slightly.

Baelish smirked at the scene. "Well she is a queen, I suppose she has the right to ignore anyone she wishes to." Cersei would have glared at him but she was too busy trying to keep her face calm while Jaime continued with his circles. "Anyway, she was probably distracted by the conversation we were having before you joined us." This time, she did attempt to glare at him, but stopped and bit her cheek to get her calm facade back up.

"And what, pray tell, was this conversation about, Lord Baelish?"

"Your sister was just telling me about some things that happened while I was away. Busy city, King's Landing is."

"That it is. Would you excuse my sister and I for a moment?" Baelish nodded and walked away. As soon as he was gone, Cersei let out a small moan she had been holding in. Jaime stopped rubbing her back. "See, sister? That was all you had to do. I could've stopped anytime."

She glared at him. "Are you out of your mind? There are people here, if you hadn't noticed."

"I did notice, sweet sister, believe it or not. Now what were you really talking to Lord Baelish about? I sincerely doubt you were talking about the weather, seeing as it's been summer for a decade."

"Well, Jaime, as the Starks like to say, winter is coming. But no, we weren't talking about the weather. He wanted to know more about your lady wife, his interest having been peaked last night."

"Did he now? You didn't just want to tell him? I know you sister, remember that, and I won't let you hurt her." And with that he walked away.

Cersei looked after him with a mixture of anger and sadness in her wildfire green eyes.
