"There's times I'd stay alive for you, there's times I would've died for you— there's times it didn't matter at all"

I was jamming to my favorite song, _____, until I glanced up at the clock. I jolted up from my bedsheets, and dashed down the stairs.

'Y/N!' Mom panicked, 'Where you sleeping in for thirty minutes?' She asked, with anger in her voice.

'No, I was too busy doing something and I forgot to look at the time.' I answered her. She sighed heavily. 'Go to school now, kiddo' she huffed.

Like expected for such a miserable day, it was once again raining. Not just a normal, short rain— a complete shower that hadn't lasted for such a long time. School's ended, and I was running through the wet road.

As a raindrop fell onto the ground, it created a ripple effect. I focused on my breathing since it became uneven.

My hair was glossed by the fallen raindrops, and I was shivering. From a distance, I looked to see a silhouette of two figures kissing.

As I inched closer to see who the two were, I instantly felt my heart rip into shreds. It was Daniel kissing no other than Ms. Homewrecker, Amorie Hamilton.

Feel my heart breaking? Check. Feeling mixed emotions with my so-called 'friend'? Check. Crying and running away, which caused me to capture Dan's attention?  ...Check..

'Y/N! Wait!' Dan exclaimed, chasing after me. 'Leave me alone, Dan!' I hissed. 'Leave me alone and never look me in the eyes again!' I yelled through the loud noise from the rain.

I was so flimsy and feeling fooled at the moment, I couldn't bare to feel another thing other than that.

I slammed my car door harshly, and felt the cold air wrap around my skin. Of coarse, Dan was tapping on my window. 'Dan, go...' I grumbled. 'No!' He yelled at the top of his lungs. 'Yes Dan, yes!' I argued.

I drove away, not even caring if he was so needy for talking to me. My mind was too clouded with anger and sadness to even bother caring.

Two weeks starring at my window and sitting on the brink of my bed, feeling self pity for myself. It was the holidays, and I had nothing productive planned out.

I'd hang out with my group of friends, but they've abandoned me.

'Y/N, come out here!' Mom hollered, 'I have a great announcement to make!' She chirped. Running down the stairs, I glanced down to see Emerson, Noah and Marco looking as happy as mom was. 'We're going to a hotel, kiddo' Noah smiled.

'I was going to say that!' Mom whined. 'Tomorrow' she filled in, smiling through her gritted teeth. 'Tomorrow?' I panicked

'Why didn't you tell me about this earlier?' I asked in utter disbelief. 'Come on, it was a surprise! Get packing!' She said in zeal.

I groaned, and headed up to my bedroom. I just tossed everything in a luggage, and tried to squeeze them all in.

I'd usually carefully and neatly tuck them in, but I have no idea what has gotten into me.

Emerson leaned against my wall, and smirked. 'And they forgot to mention that the Howell's are coming with us... For four solid days' he laughed bitterly.

I looked at him in shock. 'You're kidding...' I tried to deny the truth.

'The truth hurts, pansy' he joked, ruffling with my hair. 'Hey!' I snapped. I pushed him out of my room and sighed. Four nights with the Howells were the last thing I'm planning to do.

While on the verge of screaming and crying, I sat on my bed and stared into space.

'The luggages are in!' Noah piped. 'Everybody, do you have your phones, charges, iPads and others?' He questioned. 'Yep' we all chorused. 'Alright, then let's get going' he cheered.

While sitting at the back of my car, I was biting into my chocolate bar while Emerson was eating vegan cheese, for some odd reason.

The rest of the car ride was a blur because I drifted off into sleep, since I pulled an all-nighter from doing a Doctor Who marathon.

I woke up feeling dazed and really confused. 'Kiddo, we're here' Noah smiled. We got out of the car, and I sighed. 'Look! They're here!' Noah cried, pointing at the Howell family. I grunted, and looked away.

'Let's get the sleeping arrangements ready!' Mom piped. We headed to the register, while trying to sort out the rooms.

'Sorry Mrs Y/L/N, but there's only four rooms left' the lady said, in a nervous voice. 'Alright...' Her voice trailed off. 'I'm sleeping with Marco' Emerson said swiftly. Emerson was anything but easily convinced. He was stubborn.

'Well, I'm sleeping with Noah, so..' Mom's voice trailed off. 'And you guys are sleeping together' mom said to Mr and Mrs Howell. 'Sleeping with Dan wouldn't kill, right?' Mom asked. 'I don't think it's such a big deal' Mrs. Howell agreed.

'Mom!' I whined, 'Can't I sleep alone or something?' I asked. 'There's only four rooms left' Marco reminded. 'Come on guys, let's just get going and head to our rooms' Noah urged.

I was told that after dinner, we'd have a little fun.. By fun, mom meant that we'd burn some marshmallows in the barbecue. There were two people for each 'station', which meant I had to stay with Dan.

Unfortunately.

I pierced the marshmallow through the stick, and pushed it close to the flames, but not close enough for it to catch fire.

'Can't we just talk?' Dan broke the silence. 'No' I said bluntly. 'That's stubborn of you..' He said with a pained voice. 'If you bothered even trying to get to know me, you'd know that I was' I shot him a glare.

'But no. You were too busy being a little prick and made my life a mess!' I spat. Dan gulped. 'I'm sorry for hurting you, you'd never know how bad I feel for hurting you' he said in a throaty voice.

'You're not sorry' I said, while narrowing my eyes. 'You never fucking were' I growled in a low voice. He looked up at me, with a flash of hurt in his voice.

'Would it make you feel better if I'll just leave?' He asked faintly. 'Hell yes.' I said without hesitation, with a smirk. He just stood up and left. 'I'll be in the hotel room' he whispered.

I looked down and saw my marshmallow gold and looking crispy. I blew on it gently, and nibbled on it. 'Y/N, where's Dan?' Marco asked. 'Our hotel room' I answered.

After our conversation paced through my mind, I felt a pang of guilt hit me. I couldn't help but feel bad for what I've done.

I grabbed a mug of hot chocolate and dunked two marshmallows in the drink. I creaked our hotel room door open, and saw Dan looking up to the ceiling lifelessly.

'Dan?' My voice croaked, which made him jolt up. 'Y/N?' He gasped. I sat on the edge of his bed cautiously, and placed his hand on the mug. 'I made you this' I said, while on the verge of exploding. 'Thank you' he smiled weakly.

'Dan-- I'm sorry' I sighed, 'Really, really sorry' I added.

Silence grew between us. 'It's okay' he said softly. I placed my hand on his hand and rubbed my thumb on his palm in circular motion.

'W-would it bother you if I kissed you right now?' I asked, unwarily. Then regret hits me. He looked at me, with an amused expression in his face, as if he found a yeti in a raging blizzard. 'No, not at all' he smiled.

I snaked my legs around his waist, and leaned into him. We had a gentle kiss that wasn't forceful or lustful; just to satisfy our cravings.
