Chapter 10

"I'm sorry for the man I was, and how I treated you"

I woke up feeling Dan's arms tightening around my waist, and his chin resting on my collar bone. 'D-Dan..' I stammered, while wincing. His perked up, and he let go when he realized what he was doing. 'I'm sorry' He sighed. 'It's okay' I answered.

I stood up from his bed, earning a frown from him. 'What?' I asked with my eyebrows knitted together. 'I wanted to cuddle' he said shyly, with his cheeks turning rosy. 'Fine' I gave in, which made him smile weakly. His hair was so curly by nature, but he tends to straighten it.

I planted my body on his bed, and laid my head on his shoulders, while he wrapped his arms around my waist. 'I wish I could wake up to you like this for the rest of my life...'

'Wait, what was that?' I asked. 'N-nothing' he said, getting up from the bed. 'You wouldn't care...' His voice trailed off. 'Wait, Daniel' I snapped, 'Why wouldn't I care?' I asked, cocking up my left brow.

'Because you don't like me that way' he answered, gulping loudly. 'Correct' I said, causing him to flinch. 'I'm going to the bathroom' he grumbled. He slammed the door bathroom door loudly, but not loud enough for the rooms next doors to hear.

Maybe what I said was harsh, maybe I could've been less up-front about it. I sighed. Mom and Noah informed me that we're having breakfast, then swimming afterwards. Dan soon came out, with his hair wet, and his body  naked, with a towel wrapped around his torso.

My cheeks flushed red. 'I—um' he stammered. 'Oh get over it, you've seen me shirtless before a ' he huffed. He was right. He was the first boy to take their shirt off for me. The incident when he was injured from Sage and Theo...

I ran up to the bathroom, and slammed it shut. My breath hitched, while I tried to keep my mind off of it. I entered the shower, feeling the cold water sprinkle down my body.

With a heavy sigh released out from my lips, I slipped into my bikini, then my shorts and my black shirt.

I went out of the bathroom, and Dan looked at me with his jaw dropped. 'Wow' he managed to say. I giggled, while blushing furiously. 'How do I look?' I smiled.

'Beautiful' he smiled, tugging a strand of hair behind my ear. 'Lets go eat breakfast and go swimming afterwards in the water park' he said. I nodded my head, and walked with him, while holding my hand.

I ate my favorite food for breakfast,____ while Dan ate bacon pancakes. After that, we paid the bill and then headed to the water park blocks away from the hotel. We bought the tickets, and then entered.

I pulled down my shorts and shirt, so I could be free with my my bikini that was in navy blue. Dan blushed lightly, then looked away from my body. I placed my bag on a chair Dan and I placed our belongings in, and had some fun in the water.

I splashed the water on his face. 'Hey!' He snapped playfully, while laughing. He splashed even more water on my face. 'This means war, Howell...'

'Bring it on, Y/L/N...' He smirked. I jumped out of the water, and he chased me. Big the idiot I was, I slipped, and I was on the verge of falling. But I didn't fall. Dan caught me. Howell, that cheesy little shit.

I looked into his brown eyes, then felt butterflies erupt in my stomach. 'Go away, Howell' I snapped, harsher than I wanted it to come out, and pushed him away. I saw a flash of hurt in his eyes, and he walked in a different direction from me.

'Y/N, ready to go?' Dan asked. 'Wait, I'll check if the hotel key is in my bag first' I told him. I went through my bag, and saw no keys in there. 'Dan, are the keys with you?' I asked in concern.

'No, I gave it to you in the morning' he insisted. My face dropped. 'Shit..' I cursed under my breath. I paced back and forth through the water park in distress, until a man stops me. 'Hey lady, are you looking for something?' A voice asked.

I looked up to see a tanned man with ash brown hair. 'Yes, my hotel keys' I sighed. He raised something up. My eyes enlarged when I saw the keys in his hand. 'Oh my god sir! Thank you so much!' I gushed.

'You're welcome' he smirked. 'I'm Jensen' he introduced. 'I'm Y/N' I replied. 'Pretty name' he complimented. I exchanged him with a small smile. I presumed he was an American boy, telling by his accent.

'So, do you have a boyfriend?' He asked. 'No' I answered truthfully, 'Not planning on having one' I smiled, signaling him to back the fuck off.

'Well, we can change that' he flirted, with a wink. 'Y/N, is this man bothering you?' Dan asked out from no where, while gritting his teeth. He shot Jensen an unfriendly look. 'N-no Dan' I stammered.

'Come on, let's go now' he growled in a low tone, while holding my wrist vigorously. What is up with him? We walked back to the hotel, without talking. He wasn't speaking to me, not even once. He just looked angry and disappointed.

He slammed the door behind us, and jumped onto his bed, crossing his arms. 'Dan, what's wrong?' I asked him, biting in my inner cheek.

'Everything's wrong! This was supposed to be our day! You kept pushing me away, and not even bother to give a quick glance at me!' He shouted.

'For goodness sakes, Dan! There were so many girls out there waiting for you to talk to them! You could've at least made the best out of the worst things!' I protested.

'Fucking hell Y/N! I only have eyes for you! No other girl could capture my undivided attention like how you've caught it!' He fired back. I paused for a while. 'You've been damn weird the whole day, Dan—'

I was cut off my him. 'I've been acting weird the whole damn day because last night you kissed me, and I loved it. Now, you pretended like nothing happened! Does it mean nothing to you, Y/N? I feel like dying inside because it hurts like hell!'

I couldn't respond to him. 'At least kiss me, Y/N. I'm feeling vulnerable' his voice softened. I looked up at him, and saw his eyes burning with— pain? I kind of feel as vulnerable as him as well. I inched closer to him, and our lips moved in perfect sync.

After we parted, he looked at me straight in the eyes. 'Will you be my girlfriend?' He asked me in a throaty voice.

'I'll need time to think about that' I sighed, with a frown.
