After the encounter with Alina in the restaurant, I never spoke to her ever again. Dan assured me that Alina wouldn't get to us, and would not let her harm our relationship. And on the brighter side, I also got closer to his friend, Phil.
Phil's a very nice guy, and it was nice to be around someone that optimistic for a change. I knocked on his door hesitantly, while tapping on my feet.
The door creaked open, revealing the bright-eyed boy. 'Y/N! It's nice to see you!' He piped. 'Is Dan with you?' He asked softly.
'No, he has no clue that I'm here' I smiled.
'Wait, wouldn't he mind?' Phil furrowed his eyebrows. 'Well, let's just say the reasoning behind why he can't know about this is good.' I smirked.
'Wait! Are you trying to cheat on him with me?' He gasped in utter shock. 'No!' I exclaimed, shocked by his conclusions.
'I just came here to the right person, since your Dan's best friend. I want to give him a gift, and I need you to help me find the best one for him' I smiled brightly.
'You're his girlfriend, hadn't he ever spoken to you about what he likes?' He rose his brow up. 'Well yeah, but you've known him longer than I have' I stated, clearing my throat. He gestured me up to his room.

'Thanks Phil, please don't tell Dan' I smiled, tackling him into a hug. 'I promise at I won't tell Dan, it's between you—'
'Don't tell Dan what?' Rushed in an angry Dan. Perfect timing. 'How did you get in here?' Phil squeaked. 'Through a bloody door Phil. God dammit' he huffed through his gritted teeth.
'I forgot my phone in your house Phil.' He reminded in a fierce tone. 'Please don't do that again' Phil sighed. 'While you're fucking my girlfriend, Phil? Really? I thought you were my best friend!' He yelled, in disappointment.
'I wasn't cheating on you with him, Daniel, I swear!' I cried out. 'I don't know what to believe anymore' he clenched his jaw and stormed down the stairs with his phone in his hands. 'Please Dan, I love you!'
'Love me? How could you say you love me? Why can't you be honest for once?' He growled. And before I could ran after him, he avoided me.
'Y/N, I'm sorry. It's all my fault' Phil frowned. 'No Phil, don't pin the blame on yourself. I really fucked up this time..'

I was really vulnerable and in a poor state. Not only that I miss Dan, I was also angry at him for not even sparing time for me to explain.
Phil also fell out with Dan, all because of me.
Soon, all the lights switched off, and the electricity stopped running. I started to panic. 'Y/N? I can't see you!' Mom shrieked. 'The whole town faced an electricity outage!' She exclaimed. I grumbled. 'Put on your sweater! No heater tonight!'
I used the light from my phone to allow myself to see a few things from the dim light. I used my match to lit up my candle, and I walked down. Apparently, my whole neighborhood came out of their houses with candles or a torch light in their hands.

There were a few sounds of whimpering and whining from the kids, and some grown ups cursing aloud.

'Okay guys! Tonight, we go full amish!' Mrs Holmes cheered, earning no positive feedback from the crowd. I glanced over from the brink of my eye, Dan talking to a girl. Her name was Cat. I could tell by his expression that she was his eye candy.
'Dan?' I said hesitantly. 'What?' Dan huffed in annoyance. 'Can't you see that I'm having a conversation with Cat?' He raised his eyebrow up. 'Can we talk?' I asked him.
He sighed in defeat. 'Fine. Talk' he motioned, unamused. 'Look, I know you were mad at me for the incident last week' I said faintly. 'And still am' he corrected icily.
I invested all my free time looking back at the great times we had. 'Phil and I didn't have sex, nor cheated on you.' I said. 'Then why had I overheard you saying 'thanks Phil, please don't tell him'' he mimicked my voice.
'Because,' I breathed sharply. 'I didn't want you to hear the surprise gift that I was going to give to you, for being my boyfriend. Hell, I mean were. But still. I asked Phil for help because he knew you better than I did, and we helped each other plan for the perfect gift' I explained.
'It doesn't matter anymore' I said, 'I should've said something earlier.' I sighed. My candle made my face glow, allowing people to see the stray tear that rolled down my face. Soon, I got going.
'Y/N, wait!' Dan chased after me. I completely ignored him. 'Hey Dan!' Cat stopped him. She tugged on his sleeve, pushing him to go with her somewhere. And that hurted me.
And that was the end of our relationship.
I sat in the garden of my house, silently sobbing. I soft sniffle could be heard by the people, since tonight was dead silent.
I shot my body up running through the garden. I instantly wince the pain when thorns pierced my skin, and I slipped on a small puddle below me, causing me to scrape my knee. '..Ouch' I yelped.
Dan's POV
'Come on! Danny!' Cat whined, yanking my arm. 'For goodness sakes, Cat! You're annoying the living shit out of me! I swear to fucking god, if you nag again, I'm going to loose my shit!' I shouted, ticked.
Faint scoffs and gasps were heard since the place was dead silent. '..Ouch' a sweet voice that could only belong to Y/N yelped out. I ran to her house, and saw dim lights glowing from her garden. 'Y/N! Your knees bleeding!' I cried out.
'No shit, Daniel' Y/N sarcastically remarked.
I stood there, looking at her with regret in my eyes. 'Y/N...'
