Chapter 20

'Got your heart in my hands, like a time bomb ticking— we should know better but we won't let go'

It would be an understatement to say that I'm glad that Alina's isn't there to annoy me anymore— no more hearing her rambling over how I dress was great! I was so honored to spend my last week at school with the people I love.

And when I mean 'people I love', you'd all know by heart that I meant that Dan would be that special someone. 'Y/N, are you free tonight?' Dan asked huskily against my ear. 'Yeah' I answered, feeling goosebumps raised due to his low voice.

'Perfect. I'll be waiting outside your door' he informed, 'Six p.m— sharp' he inched closer towards me. I chuckled lightly while feeling my cheeks heat up.

'What ever happened to 'no PDA', guys?' Louise teased the both of us. I glanced over at Dan, who's cheeks reddened. 'Danny boy blushing?' Shane chimed in. 'Guys, look at the amount of subscribers Dan has gained!' Tyler piped, while waving his phone at us all.

I looked at Tyler's screen in awe— 56,000 subscribers was a lot, considering there are a lot of people aiming their way to fame in this whole YouTube community. I pecked Dan's cheek. 'Congrats Dan, you deserve it' I smiled.

'Thanks' Dan whispered shyly. Phil soon entered the scene, with Chris. 'What are you guys up to?' Phil asked bubbly. 'Nothing much, just witnessing Dan gaining popularity from YouTube' Tyler answered in a smirk.

'Also us teasing Dan and Y/N for being a PDA couple' Shane snickered. 'If they're considered as a PDA couple, then I don't know what Pj and Amorie are' Chris shrugged. From the corner of my eyes, I saw the two sucking the life out of each other through their lips.

'I'm hungry' I stated, shooting up from the cafeteria seat. 'You told us that for at least five times now' Louise sighed. 'Can we eat somewhere that doesn't involve eating cafeteria food?' Phil's voice squeaked.

'I know I'm going' Louise smiled, 'Where, then?' Dan asked, puzzled. 'What about in that Italian restaurant downtown? I heard that it's really good' Chris suggested. 'Right, my car then?' I offered. 'I have enough seats for you guys to enter' I announced.

We ended up with the pizza with plain cheese and tomato sauce. While I looked down on my plate, feeling bloated and really full, I saw Tyler eating his slice like a savage. 'Mm, I want another slice of pizza' Tyler whined.

'You can take mines' I offered, sliding my plate across the table. 'Bless you, my sweet baby!' Tyler gushed. I looked down at my watch and frowned. 'Shit!' I shrieked. They all gave me a questioning look.

'Lessons started twenty minutes ago!' I panicked. Tyler quickly gobbled the slice of pizza while we handed money to the cashier, and sprinted into my car.

We sang the lyrics to My Chemical Romance in distress and concern, while I was driving as quickly as possible back to school. 'Guys, run before the teachers find out!' I ordered, running in quick pace. I headed to English and had to give a petty excuse to the teacher.

The day ended, and we all said our goodbyes. I waited for Dan to ring my door, and I was mentally practicing what to say to him when he does so. How could I be laid back when whenever he's around he makes my guts tingle with joy?

I heard the sound of the doorbell ringing, and I gave myself a final glance in the mirror. I stormed down the stairs, and creaked the door open. There stood Dan, with a joyous smile spread across his face. 'I want to show you somewhere special' he announced.

'Then show me' I whispered, while pushing our lips together, so it could go in perfect sync. I heard a muffled groan from him as his hands lowered to grip on my waist. His thumbs were now sliding in between the fabric of my jeans and my bare skin.

'D-Dan' I stammered, uncomfortably. His head snapped up and his cheeks turned rosy. 'Sorry, I was-- you were just so beautiful-- and I--' he began stuttering like a maniac.

'It's okay' I blushed, 'Let's get going, Howell' I grinned. 'Of course, hopefully a soon-to-be Howell' he laughed. I froze, mostly in awe than in confusion. Dan just claimed that he wants me to become a future Howell in a sweet, short sentence.

The line runs through my mind, while he drives his car. It never leaves my brain, and I never wish it will. The soft music of Muse enters my ears, and my smile widened when I see Dan singing faintly to the song.

'I like your singing voice, Dan.' I smiled. Dan face palmed himself when he noticed me noticing him sing. 'Fuck, oh my god' Dan grumbled.

'No need to be embarrassed baby, I find it cute' I claimed. 'Oh do you?' he smirked.

'I prefer the term 'hot', princess' he said huskily. 'Of course Daniel, anything for you baby' I smiled, earning myself a sense of more cockiness for stroking Dan's ego.

I looked at the window, and yawned lightly. 'Dan, where are we going?' I asked. 'Darling, I can't tell you yet' he sighed, driving a bit faster. 'We're almost there, anyways' the boy told me.

'Alright, if you say so' I whispered softly.

Soon, Dan parked the car. 'Why are we in the forest, Daniel?' I asked in confusion. It was dark, and most importantly— cold. He didn't answer me, but instead he pulled out something from his pocket.

'Darling, get out of the car please' he said sweetly. 'You aren't planning on murdering me, are you?' I laughed. 'Or am I?' He chuckled darkly.

I got out of the car, and Dan came following me. He pulled out a dagger and smirked. 'I'm going to kill you now' he said, letting out a cynical laugh.

I let out a loud yelp and ran, while laughing. Dan chuckled along, and I stopped while panting. 'I will never hurt you baby, you know that' he said with his hot breath pressed against my neck. 'Come on Y/L/N, we're going to a cabin near here'

We spent the whole night not looking into our phone screens, but enjoying human-to-human contact for a change. We talked about the universe and the meaning of our existence— like how we are just like tiny atoms in the universe.

'Whoa, Y/N— I think I love you. Like really, really love you' Dan gasped, while looking into my eyes. 'You think this is true love? Like the ones in cheesy cliche romance novels?' I giggled. 'Don't put it in that way!' He grumbled.

'You're just to humble, so divine and so lovable. You're that one person that I could be myself around with without feeling any shame. Whenever you're with me, I feel my doubts disappear into thin air' Dan said, sounding sincere.

'And to say that you're what I want is an understatement. You're what I need. You motivate me to become a better person each day, and you always found the best in me. And I want to fall asleep and wake up with you wrapped around my arms for the rest of my life' he adds, causing tears to brim my eyes.

'Dan, I can't ever put how much I care for you into words like how you just did. I just want you to know that I love you in that way too, and I'd love to be part of your future' I said, wiping a stray tear away from my cheeks.

'Remember when you said that you'd want me to become a Howell?' I asked suddenly. 'Yes' he admitted, 'And fuck, I mean it' he said sternly.

'The future might not look clear to me now, but I want you to become Mrs. Howell one day!' He exclaimed. I stood there, a smile forming on my lips. 'You mean the world to me, I love you so fucking much' I whispered.

He slammed his lips harshly against mines, and his kisses trailed down my neck, lovingly and passionately. His fingers wandered around my bare stomach, until he decided to unbutton my jeans, and toss them down the floor.

And when the clothes do come off, then the lights switch off.
