"I'm trying not to let it show, that I don't want to let this go— is there somewhere you could meet me?"

I spent my days trying to get used to the cast on my arm, which was sheer torture. And the worst part is, Dan wasn't there with me.

I'd always see him walk pass me in the hallways, but he'd avoid eye contact with me. It frustrates me even more. Louise was signing her initials on my cast, until I saw Phil, Shane and a man— who I presume was called Chris— trying to sign my cast.

Then I froze when I saw Dan pressing his lips against a girl. Chris noticed my reaction towards this and gave me a reassuring, yet weak, smile. 'S-sorry' I stammered, as I ran rapidly away, with tears threatening to spill out from my eyes.

Being the frail person I am, I didn't return. It was even more troubling to escape for me, since I wasn't allowed to drive my car for a month. My BMW car has a big dense on it, and it needs to be fixed.

I walked out from school, while playing sad tunes on my phone, lost in my thoughts. 'Y/N!' Dan shouted, from his car. I looked away from him and huffed. I pretended that he wasn't there. 'You can pretend like I'm not there all you want, but you'll always know that I'm here' he stated.

'Why don't you go back to that girl you were lip-locking? Wouldn't it just be easier for the both of us?' I snapped, harshly. He flinched from my wordings, and recovered quickly. 'Y/N, I know that apologizing wouldn't be enough—'

'You're right, it wouldn't' I cut him off, 'You told me that it was my time to fight back for us, but each time I try to, you just keep stepping away and end up ruining our relationship' I said, in a strained voice.

'I'm beginning to question if this relationship is even worth it' I spat.

I slept with my blanket draping over my body until I heard faint footsteps. I peaked to see a figure. I turned on my lamp, to see Dan. 'Dan!' I scoffed angrily, throwing a pillow at him. 'What are you doing here?' I hissed.

'To see you?' His voice squeaked. I glared at him, refusing to give in so easily. 'We need to talk' he said, lowering his voice. 'Why? Especially at this time?' I yawned.

'Not to mention, you did break into my room' I glared. He laughed nervously, 'sorry' he said. I rolled my eyes irritatingly and crossed my arms. Dan sat besides me on my bed, so I pushed him inches away from me.

'It's not your fault, love. I pin all the blame on me' he sighed, 'And I'm really, really, sorry' he said convincingly. I looked into his eyes, trying to think everything through.

If kissing him right now meant that I'd be a fool, then screw it. Without hesitations clouding my mind, I slammed my lips against his'.

I closed my eyes, and wrapped my legs around his waist, and I felt his fingers tug on the hem of my sweater. Then, the sound of the sky's grumble made me jump. 'Fuck' I grumbled.

We stood there, in bitter silence. Neither of us wanted to break the silence, as we laid on my bed. I rested my head on Dan's chest, sleeping through the rhythm of his heartbeat. 'I love you' I mumbled.

'I love you too' he said, while stroking my hair, 'Sleep, Princess.'

I shuffled against him, only to rest closer against him. I spent the night not feeling vulnerable, instead, I felt loved.

I woke up with Dan's warm breath pressed against my face. I blinked twice, trying to adjust my sight. Dan's curly hair was undeniably cute. 'Dan' I whispered, lightly tapping on his shoulder. 'Daniel' I repeated, loudly.

He grumbled, trying to ignore me. 'We have to go to school' I said. 'Missing out on a day isn't a crime, dear' he grumbled. 'Whatever, I'm going to shower' I announced, walking up to the bathroom. Dan has to be cautious, since my parents are in the same house.

I wrapped a towel around my body, and headed up to my closet. I grabbed my school uniform, and caught Dan staring at my legs. 'You should probably get going, Dan' I said.

I walked up towards Louise and Tyler who were talking casually until I was stopped my Alina. She walked up to me like a casual attention-craving girl.

I huffed in annoyance, until a group of her minions dropped yogurt on my hair

I huffed in annoyance, until a group of her minions dropped yogurt on my hair. I scoffed loudly, with my jaw dropped.

'Alina!' I snapped. 'You deserved it' she snickered smugly. Then Dan barged into the scene. 'Al, what the hell is wrong with you? You used to be so kind!' He shouted. Alina stood there, out of breath.

'Y/N is the problem here, why can't you see? We were a perfect match, Dan!' She whined. 'No we weren't, and never will be! I love Y/N, not you!' He said harshly.

Her eyes were now glassy, 'You know you want me' she growled.

I sighed, as I looked up at my yogurt-filled hair.

'I guess I'll be needing to wash my hair now' I said.
