His straight black hair fell about his shoulders. His crimson robes flowed around his calves and a sword hung at his side. Several guards followed behind him. A boy about my age stood at the left side of my uncle. He was strange, had an air of cocky athority about him. I could see his mscles beneath his nic, though couldn't decide whether they were a threat or reassurrance. His electric blue eyes were enough to make any girl melt within his hard gaze.

My father stifled laughter. I growled at him. He then turned to Tristan's questioning look and whispered something in his ear. With a glance at me, he too was soon holding in uncontrollable fits of giggling. My eyes widened when I realized what had happened. The old shit read my mind! I spun to glare at him. Father had a wide grin plastered on his face. He slowly nodded. I picked up my foot and slammed it down on his toe. He let out a yelp of surprise. in a flash, the whole family was seated at the table as if it had been a regular, well-mannered breakfast.

Lord Gallahein stood waiting. "Aidan, brother, why is it that every time I see you, you're covered in something sticky?" The pair let out a laugh and then my Father's face hardened. I could tell that he was infuriated that his brother dare enter the royal grounds without permission. Anger radiated from the man, so much that even I cringed. How my uncle could stand his ground shocked me. The negative energy in the room was overpowering.

"What business do you have here Lord Gallahein? I recieved no word of your arrival." Father demanded. Although the words were polite, the venom rolling off his tongue was clearly heard.

"It concerns the girl." Gallahein stated simply. I was too occupied to be curious about it. I had realized the boy had not taken his eyes off me since his arrival. I glared at him. I had a growing suspicion of what my uncle was suggesting. A glance at Tristan revealed that he shared my thoughts. Knowing that I would be punished for speaking out of turn, I faced Lord Gallahein.

"Since you are suggesting exactly what I believe you are, why don't you tell the rest of my family?" I asked, daring him to comply. When he said nothing, I released my anger with a clap of thunder. The guards jumped in surprise. I raised an eyebrow. Silence. A bolt of lightning struck the floor at his feet. He growled.

"I am suggesting a marrige between Lord Mason and Princess Sindri." he stated. There was a collective gasp as what he said sunk in. "I wish to speak with King Aidan about the matter in private." The two men made their way to the study to discuss my future. I turned to glare at my future husband.

"Lord Mason." I spat. I stormed out of the room. With a wave of my hand, a storm cloud materialized over his head. A satisfying crack of thunder could be heard, followed by pouring rain.  I looked back at him. "The only thing you're getting from me is your own personal thunderstorm." I laughed and began the journey to my bedroom.

I always wanted to do that to my brother. :)
