Avery POV
I wake up a few hours later, with a small headache from crying and Ethans arm still wrapped loosely around my midsection, his chest pressed up against my back, his breath rising and falling slowly. Since his grip is not constricting, I slowly turn over, so that I’m an inch away from his face. He opens his eyes and smiles at me.
“You know, this is some very Ned Vizzini type shit,” I laugh.
“Who?” Ethan asks.
“Ned Vizzini, he wrote the book Its Kind of a Funny Story,” I answer.
“Oh! Okay. Then yes, indeed. Just a little bit,” He agrees.
I laugh, and he looks at me, smiling.
“What?” I ask,
“You’re pretty when you smile,” He says, and I blush.
“Oh hush. You’re not that bad looking yourself,” I joke.
“So what is this, then? I mean, I kissed you, we’re cuddling and joking around like a couple. Are we a thing?” He asks nervously.
“I’d like to be a thing,” I giggle.
“Okay. Can I call you my girlfriend then?” He questions.
“Only if I can call you my boyfriend,” I state.
“Damn it, I REALLY wanted to be the girlfriend,” He jokes.
I laugh, and we lay there in silence for a few minutes, Ethan only moving to pull me closer.
“I really want to kiss you again,” He states bluntly.
“What’s stopping you?” I ask.
“Good point,” He smiles, and he presses his lips to mine. I move my mouth in sync with his, and after a couple of minutes, I bite onto his bottom lip, softly. He pulls away after another minute, and looks at me.
“You’ve really never kissed anybody else before?”
“No, why?” I ask, worried.
“Damn girl, you’re good at this,” He laughs, tilting his head down to kiss me again.
I let my lips accept the touch, and I giggle.
“So tell me more about yourself,” Ethan jokes seriously.
“Well, what do you wanna know?” I ask.
“Wanna play a friendly game of twenty questions?” He smiles.
“Sure, seeing as thats the only version of twenty questions I’m familiar with,” I say.
Ethan bursts out laughing, and I smile and giggle a little more.
“Funny. What's your favorite color?” He asks back.
“Purple. Whats yours?” I reply lamely.
“Lame. Blue. Ask another one,” He answers.
“Favorite food?” I try.
“Still lame. Don’t have one,” He says.
“Ugh,” I rolled my eyes, “You go again, obviously I’m bad at this.”
“Why’d you try and commit?” He asks bluntly.
I close my eyes and sigh.
“Wow, you really jumped into that one. I don’t know, exactly. And, if you spend more time with me you’ll understand that I’m not saying it just to you. I really don’t know. I get this feeling sometimes, and I can’t explain it. My heart sinks to my chest, my head spins, my thoughts are so unclear, I can’t even have a normal train of thought. My limbs feel so heavy, and all I want to do is lay in bed for hours. I’ll put on some music and I’ll lay in bed, just staring at my ceiling. I’ll feel so numb. Hours will pass, and I’ll lay there and think. My thoughts are so scary sometimes. I don’t know why it happens, and I don’t know how to fix it. But I don’t know why,” I say, trailing off quietly. “I just wanted it to stop.”
“I’m sorry,” Ethan whispers softly.
“Me too,” I say, closing my eyes.
~Wow I know I'm the worst and this is the worst filler chapter ever I'm sorry! BUT! I'm back bitches! (: ~
